1 New visitors?

It was completely abnormal for Kyus city to have visitors and this has been like that since the beginning of times, the inhabitants of Kyus only knew one thing about the outside of the city; forest, danger and death, but today that changed. The knowledge people had passed on to their children for hundreds of years now vanished with the appearance of a young man that no one had ever seen. What's more interesting is that he came from outside the walls, a place that only a few strong had visited and only desperate ones went back to.

Kyus was a big city, with crop fields, lakes, rivers and different other resources all grouped up as if they were a buffet for humans to expand their civilization. Minerals, food, wood and even living stock was available in the place when the walls started to rise as a protection. No one remembers how it all began, and most of the records were lost due to different reasons but there was something that all Clans remembered, and that was the words of one of their ancestors, he said: "The world is a forest, and this forest is dangerous. Beasts lurk everywhere, danger is around each tree and if humanity wants to survive, living behind these walls is the only option".

With these words, humans started to fear the forest and grew only inside the walls, taking them as their saviours from that wretched outside.

These walls were not indestructible, they've been demolished and reconstructed several times, but the foundation was so strong and well built, that with small repairs they kept standing over the centuries. They were enlarged many times since they were first built and they were also thickened, using better materials than the original ones, all of this was only to ensure that humans could have a chance at living, but, things as they were before began to change with this new visitor.

Near the walls, different Clans controlled the citizens and territories but these clans lived deeper inside the city. As the walls could be breached and attacked anytime, the closer one lived to them the lower their social status was. Except for the only entrance these walls had, which was used to explore, get resources from outside and other things, the rest of the walls were unbreachable.

The entrance to Kyus was a double door entrance, with several traps and mechanism allowing to watch outside and defend at the same time. It was the only "weak" point the city had, but despite that, the residents made sure they could defend it properly. In order to open it for adventurers to leave or enter, a process had to be made, and inspections were normal. The forest was full of unknown and until this day, new things were discovered in each journey adventurers made.

Before the gate was open, one had to activate the "permission" bell in order to enter. This would alert 2 guards that would inform that someone was outside. All of this, was in order to not let any beast get in and rampage inside the city, but this time when the gatekeepers looked outside, they were in for a surprise. A single young man, with a rod on his left hand and a bag on his right one was standing outside, smiling as if he was leisurely walking around his backyard. His clothes were patched all over, with different kinds of colors, as if he was wearing a collage. His body was thin but bulky, and his height was above the average man, standing at 1,90 cms proudly.

Adventurers usually left the group in 10 men teams, but he was accompanied by only 2 people, cloaked under animal fur, completely covering their bodies and faces. One of them was a giant, his body was as thick as a barrel and his shoulders made the cloack feel forced as a fist trying to pass through a sleeve. His height was enormous, standing at more than 2,20 or even 2,30 cms tall.

The other one wasn't tall at all, only 1,60cm tall and his cloack was bigger than it should've been, as if he inherited it from his eldest brother. His body was completely covered in it but his impatience was easy to see. His feet constantly tapped the floor, making him show off his lack of amusement.

Both gatekeepers were astonished, they could not believe their eyes as there was such a dispairity between these subjects. But what's more important, is that since they were appointed to that post years ago, they've never seen these people leave or enter. They were new people, new visitors.
