12 Join us!

"Who do you think you are to say we're not allowed to live in this City as long as your Family is here?! Guards, stand up and apprehend them!" said Cyrus in a commanding tone, but was stopped by Cesar. "Father, these are our blood and flesh. We can't get rid of them, if we make them join the Kriger family despite their insult we would be able to have 3 master explorers and our Kriger family would be able to control all of Kyus City by themselves!", so Cesar turned to look at the kids and walking towards them, his lips moved saying; "My sons, my own blood finally returns home! I am so sorry you've been raised outside and I will make amends to pay with my own life for your suffering, please, let's talk-"

"SHUT UP!" yelled Leon at Cesar with all his strenght. "Despite trying to win us over to your family, you never asked about our mother. You're despicable, and you only care about yourself like your father does. Not only are you wretched, you're brainless as well. We've called our mother a saint and made the name of our new family her name and you still didn't ask about her. You're brainless and you will always be" said Leon as he turned his sight away from his father.

"People of Kyus, the change is coming and we're going to make it happen no matter the cost. We're looking for people to join us and help us bring this change. We are going to provide more than food and shelter. We will teach you different professions, like Smithing, Farming, Fishing, Hunting and more. All the things the Big Families monopolized will be available for you all to learn. If they oppose us, we will opress them, if they join us, we will reward them. People of Kyus, it is time to advance forward in this world and stop hiding behind walls. Who is with me?!" Leon had a speech prepared, and his only goal was to rouse the people.

The big clans had a tight control over their profession and over the knowledge they shared. For example, the Mvuvi family. Only members of the main Family and branches of the Mvuvi family could learn how to be sailors and fishermen. Still, they hired peasants to load the ships and unload them. They also hired them to help with the construction of boats but they didn't even get to hit a single nail in the whole process. They only carried the tools, materials and the like but they were never instructed in what to do.

This seemed easy to learn, but if anyone got wind that you learned a big profession, most likely you were going to disappear at night. So if people could avoud learning them by accident, they would close their eyes and try to understand the least.

This greed from the big families affected the progress of the city as a whole, and these siblings knew that. Their Master knew all these professions and had learned about them before while she was young. When these kids were born, she was there to see them open their eyes, take their first steps and say their first words. She was like the grandmother the Lea brothers never had. When she realized the love she had for these kids, she decided to take matters into her own hands. She handpicked people from the slums of Kyus in order to teach them these professions as the kids grew up. She nurtured them and passed all her knowledge to them. While most of them had nearly 0 practice, they knew what to do in order to progress and not get stuck while doing their job. These people were protected and given money. They were 'spies' in the city and they would be the ones that would help the Lea siblings to make Kyus City the place where they could enjoy the rest of their lives peacefully and not like her, who had to be on the move and always alert in the forest.

As soon as the Lea brothers declared what they were going to do, they took their positions and they were the first one to take a step forward when Leon asked who was with him. They were also the spark that ignited the fire in the hearts of the Kyus city inhabitants.

The family heads and elders were surprised. These kids garnered so much support in such a short time. All of them were thinking about what to do. They didn't want their positions to be threatened, but at the same time they didn't want to give up this oportunity to learn more about the world and strenghten themselves. Still, the shouting of the people and the passion they showed made them understand one thing.

If they killed these youngsters, they were going to be in for a civil war.
