5 Incredible speed.

What's in it for you? I mean, suppose me and my friend do all of this. What will it be for? I don't mind earning extra money, but you have to promise me something. You will leave the city out of this scheme of yours. I might not be wise or educated, but I've lived a pretty long life and I can tell when someone is crafty.

Leon laughed whole heartedly and smiled, he put his hand on his heart and gave a small bow, vowing no to bring harm to the city ever in his life.

The guard was more confused than ever, what do these kids want? This question was lingering on his mind non-stop and he was in a loss for words till his friend's appearance made him wake up from this weird dream.

They will send some people from the adventurer's guild but I don't think representatives of the big families are interested in this. Yes, it is strange that there are outsiders but they think too high of themselves, said the second guard.

It was all in Leon's plan. He knew that the big families think of everyone as peasants, except for other families and despite not having open conflicts, that didn't mean that they were friends. They simply tolerated each other. If they could sit on a table and talk about what they dislike from one another, there is no clock in the world that could measure the amount of time wasted in a simple conversation. From simply features like nose, skin tone or eye color to professions, ways to deal with people and even house styles. They were always looking for something to complain about from the other families so it was always 1 vs 9 for each one of them. Sadly, they couldn't proclaim their complains in open voice, so they resorted to talk about it in private family meetings or parties. Using these as a way to amuse themselves.

Leroux frowned and he let out a loud grunt, he was displeased that these "flies" regarded themselves as important. In his eyes, only his brothers, mother and Master were important. The rest of the people were flies and this couldn't be brought up into a discussion or else, fists would fly and with Leroux ability to fight, it'd be something one sided.

Lufti tapped on his big brother's shoulder and asked, Leon, do you need me to go collect food for later? There are so many things we need to do in order to be done with this fast and you know that I don't mind peace and tranquility but I fear failing Master's orders the most.

Leon gave another loud laugh and patted Lufti's back, he nodded and Lufti, as if it was made out of smoke dissapeared from the place leaving no trace behind. The guards were amazed at this display of speed. It was amazing what someone with such a huge body could do, and totally unexpected. Following that, they were in for another surprise. Leon talked to Leroux and whispered on his ear, making Leroux smile creepily. The two old guards could feel a cold chill climb their backs as they shivered at the thought of what could make that violent kid smile like that.

Leon turned around and inspected the traps that were previously destroyed. He looked at the guards and asked, If I am not wrong, a beast armadillo of yellow caparace could whistand these hits before falling. Have you guys ever seen one near the gates? We need to know what usually attacks these gates so we can bring something that will fit the "criteria" of the damage these traps received.

These words might not mean anything to us, but for the guards they were a shock to the heart. This world was huge, no one ever explored all of it, for example Kyus City thought they were the only human settlement there was, but the Kriger siblings knew that wasn't the case. There were many settlements, but most of them lived in ignorance like Kyus City. Most were too far apart for people to actually survive a road trip. The world, covered in huge trees was also the most dangerous area there was for normal humans. Beasts lurked around, plants were the biggest threat, as their sheer size and inexplicable consciousness made them extremely resiliant to attacks and also agressive, trapping anything that fell into their traps. In this case, the Kriger siblins were the most knowledgeable people alive after their mother and Master. The reason was that since little, they were trained and nurtured by their Master in order to face this world. The thing is, that for normal people the "common sense" that the Kriger siblins had, was nowhere near normal. The best example was this armadillo "nonsense" that the guards were shocked by.

Why was this nonsense? Because if an Armadillo of any size or color entered the city, many casualties were going to happen and a huge sacrifice would leave the city really weak for future fights with other beasts if they wanted to stop such a dangerous animal. That is why bringing up a yellow caparace beast, one of the animals with strongest defense would be nonsensical. It was preposterous that these guys wanted to hunt such a dangerous beast just to use it as a distraction.
