12 Evolution

Evolution

The mass of flesh abomination was already within sight—it started to devour those bewildered slaves.

After opening the cage using one of the special keys found on Casper's body,

*irrnk--*

---it causes a creaking sound which attracted the Giant-flesh monster.

Currently, Oorga doesn't have any weapon on him. His battle ax which is an Ancestral weapon of his tribe was confiscated after he was captured.

Looking around—he grabbed the long chain that binds his cage.

Concentrating all the might in his body, he pulled it—dragging the solid cage into the air.

With one swirl of his body, he brought it flying upward— *bang!*

--smashing towards the head of the monster.

The impact was so great since the metal cage was very heavy as it's made out of pure Mithril.

It causes the monster huge body to stumble sideways, having gone dizzy with that full blow.

Oorga used this opportunity to escape from the monster's detection and sprinted outside of the torn down building.

In front of him, the <MonkeyHouse> base has already turned into ruins after thousands of ghoul-looking monster flooded inside of it.

Watching those monster wrecking everything down, Oorga still dashed toward the west side of that building. A he gets close to them—

His tattoos on his back light up giving him tremendous strength as he picks up a boulder-size concrete from a broken wall to smash away those incoming monsters.

As for why he was not escaping to a safer location—it because of the battle-ax.

After inheriting it, he had to undergo a tribal ritual to become one with that weapon by using his own blood. Oorga could clearly feel that his weapon is just 20-meters ahead.

That weapon was called <BloodShredder>-- the very weapon that their tribe-founder had used during his time in the army,

--while winning the war against the human who tried to invade their Orc Kingdom-- 80 years ago.

Oorga was very confident—if he has this weapon, then the chances of surviving from this disaster would be bigger.

Earlier in that fight before, with just a single strike-- he could have directly bisect that huge monster in half.

While catching his breath, he finally made it a huge wooden door. He could definitely feel that <BloodShredder> is just on the other side.

This room certainly belongs to this organization's leader; Casper. It was currently tightly locked, too bad he already thrown away those keys.

So Oorga uses his large shoulder to slam against the wooden door—causing sprinters of wood to fly everywhere.

At the top of a strange canyon, the space suddenly distorted a young man in his twenties—dressed in odd white clothing, appeared out of nowhere.

He then leaps down directly, falling several hundreds of meter before landing on the base—creating a huge tremor, scaring the nearby creatures away.

The top of the canyon was covered with thick fogs which roiled about—making the surrounding very dimly lit. But that doesn't matter to Deus since he sees perfectly clear even if there was no light at all.

:

:

Deus continues to travel north since his sensors had detected waves of energies coming from that direction.

The farther he went, the greater the distance between the canyon walls became.

"Skrreee!—"

The number of bizarre creatures also started to rise. Some of them are courageous enough to attack this newcomer.

"Grrr!—"

There would be giant insects or wild beast attacking him from time to time.

As he walks further to the source of that energy fluctuation, the stronger the insects and wild-beast that would appear to try and eat him—

At least that's what the [Power Scan] reads, but he doesn't really feel any difference in their strengths.

Suddenly his footstep stopped.

He finds a huge hive located on a dead tree on his left. There were hundreds of 3-meter size hornets guarding the nest against approaching predators.

"Mmm—it's quite good. Even better than what the books described it to be."

Deus was currently eating some honey he had harvested a little while ago. This stuff almost doesn't exist anymore in his previous world.

Due to contamination—Bees were one of the species that have gone extinct in his country.

"I'll definitely try some of the delicious cuisines of this world while strolling the Felgrand Empire in the future."

--while enjoying his snacks, he finally arrives in some temple ruins.

_______

"GuwaAaa!—"

A stomach-churning scream sounded as a bandit's body was torn apart, followed by some bodily remains dropping— while the rest of it was swallowed by the monster.

A group of surviving bandits was horrifically staring at an oversize crab-like abomination in front of them. Its form was really strange—all of its eight legs were made up of legs of different species from different individuals.

Its enormous head was bloating out almost like popping at any moment. Its eyes have long spurted out from the pressure.

The chilling part was that—everyone here was well acquainted with that head's previous owner.

That head once belongs to their powerful leader.

After witnessing his fate after being eaten alive, most of the surviving bandits have lost the will to fight back and just wanted to escape from this place alive.

*swoo--* suddenly an enormous battle-ax landed deep on the monster's head—

"Wrrieee—"

Following that, a well-built orc warrior landed in front of it—grabbing the handle of his battle-ax.

The surviving bandits were startled with the sudden event but burst into cheers afterward. They were about to say their thanks to their savior when—

Oorga's tattoos on his huge back light up, his muscles bulge as his grip on the ax handle tightens.

"Kuooooh!--"

He lifted it up including the giant monster then slamming it to the group of cheering bandits.

*splaaat--*

Dead.

All of them were smashed to meat paste.

"Bastards like you with no honor are better off dead." Oorga hated these warriors that slaughter people without reason.

Suddenly, from the building behind him—a giant head pops out, directly looking at his direction. Its huge hand swiftly grabs forward.

Oorga agilely rolls sideways, then he realizes that he wasn't its target but the dead crab-like monster behind him. After retrieving it—it's huge belly suddenly open up, revealing rows of jagged teeth.

After devouring its prey whole, its body started to change.

Oorga swiftly dashes to a nearby building—he peeks out from one of its small window observing that monster.

After devouring the crab-like monster whole, its bulging arms becomes more compact and stronger.

Its ugly deformed face started to turn more of that of living.

"The aura that its body giving of is also rising—"

This evolution would last for an hour after it absorbs everything.

This was not that first-time Oorga saw something like this happen as he moves around on this underground domain.

While it was still immobile, he continued to cautiously travel north--- where one of the city's exit is located.
