1 Prologue

Mom! Dad! I'll definitely be the strongest adventurer when I grow up! I will protect everyone from monsters and I will make them feel safe whenever i'm there!"

"Yes you will son. Protect me, your dad and your sister, okay?"

"Me and your mom will always believe in you wherever you go and whatever you do."

"Onii-chan! Goodnight!"

My mom and dad kissed me at my forehead before going to sleep.

"Now go to bed before the flaming undead gets you."

"Good night, son"

They went outside and turned off the lamp.

"The flaming undead huh? It's only a myth and no one has ever seen it. Only children would believe that." I said to myself before going to sleep

"I am gonna turn to an age where I can go adventure tomorrow, Ughh! I can't sleep. I'm so excited, I can't sleep. Cmon you can do this! Just close your eyes and sleep."

I smell-- fire. I hear thunder.

What is this? I get up half asleep and I can't perceive my surroundings.

"Fire? FIRE!?"

I go outside my room and see my mom and dad. My mom is holding my sister while crying. They are looking at the sky.

"Mom! Dad! There's fire in the house!"

They didn't seem to hear me and they are still looking at the sky.

"Please don't do this! Please. I beg you! Please! Spare my son and daughter please whatever you want. Just don't hurt them!" My mom said while being teary.

Now I realize what happened. I stand there shocked, unable to say anything or shed a tear.

"You cursed bastard! Why would you do this to us? We're just a peaceful family! Why would you curse my son! I will definitely kill you.. I'll kill you.. I'll"

My dad falls to the ground suddenly. He looks like he isn't breathing

"Honey? HONEY!? Please someone help us. How could you do this? Why would you do this? Someone please hel.." She falls afterwards while holding my sister.

I feel like.. I can't breath anymore.. With my last bit of strength I summoned water and lightning at the robed person flying in the air. He dodged with ease.. I fall down to the ground.

"Mom, Dad. Little sister. I will protect you all! I'll definitely have my revenge!"

The fire is getting hotter and hotter every second. I can't breath. I can't see.

"Mom, Dad. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry!"
