8 Meeting the Third Kazekage

A small line of saliva traced out of Hitori's body as his chest heaved up and down slowly as his eyes were closed.

Sleeping. Yep, he was sleeping.

Chiyo and the third slowly walked their way over to him and as they did so, Chiyo's attention was caught by the sword that was lying on the ground next to him.

The sword's edges had become blunt and her attention was then caught by the ground. There were wet patches on the ground on one area and to its right was a part of the ground that was charred black. And in one area, was a circle that was not covered by sand.

"What did this boy do?" Chiyo mumbled in her breath.

The kazekage heard what she had said and he bent down and observed the wet and blackened ground. His face immediately turned serious as he spoke, "this is traces of fire and water release."

"What?" Chiyo asked with a bewildered tone, "How did they suddenly appear?"

The kazekage smiled lightly as he turned and looked towards the sleeping Hitori and spoke, "I think he had the answers to our questions."

Chiyo's face immediately turned strange as her mind was confused. Was Hitori able to use those releases? How did he even do it?

"I will wake him up," she spoke as she wanted the answers to her countless questions and she walked to Hitori.

"Hitori, wake up," she spoke as she shook Hitori from his shoulder, slowly waking him up from his short nap.

"Yawn~ Grandma, your back," Hitori spoke weakly as he stretched his arms and wiped his eyes.

"What did you do while I was gone?" she asked.

"What do you mean? I was training," Hitori innocently answered, he then saw the person behind granny Chiyo and since he just woke up, his brain did not recognize who it was, he asked, "Who is this uncle?"

"Hello there, Hitori. I have been wanting to meet you. I am the Third Kazekage," the third answered as he walked over to Hitori and smiled.

Hearing this was an air horn being blown at full volume, Hitori instantly fully awoke as his eyes displayed a glimmer of admiration, "You are the third Kazekage?"

The third simply nodded.

"Whoa... I can't believe I actually got to meet you. Granny, always said that you are always too busy at the building," Hitori spoke as he bowed towards him.

"Haha, today is a holiday," the Kazekage replied with a light laugh.

"How did the ground turn wet and black? And how is the sword already damaged? You shouldn't have the strength to do that yet," Chiyo asked with seriously as she directed the subject of the conversation back to the weird marks on the ground.

"Let me show you what I was practising," Hitori spoke with a smile.

He then proceeded to show them what he had been doing and shocked expressions appeared on the elders' faces.

Five minutes later...

"Hitori," the Kazekage called out.

"Yes?"

"Can you inject your chakra into this? I want to test your chakra affinities," he spoke as he handed Hitori a simple piece of paper.

"Okay," Hitori cluelessly replied as he did just as he was asked.

And as we all knew, a paper changed into two parts and each part had two distinct changes. The top of the first paper burned and turned into ash while the bottom turned to dirt and broke up, and the second top part turned wrinkled and the bottom turned damp and wet.

"This is amazing," Kazekage as he let out a hearty laugh while patting Chiyo on the back, "You choose a good seed, Lady Chiyo."

Meanwhile, Chiyo was completely lost in a daze. She did not expect Hitori to have all five chakra natures.

Seeing that she was still in a daze, the Kazekage to hold of the situation and asked Hitori, "Well then Hitori. Would you like to join the village academy?"

Hitori was sent into a daze, "What's that?"

"It is a place where the children of this village go to train to become shinobi," the Third answered.

"I would like to join the academy," Hitori replied with a huge smile on his face.

Hearing this, the Kazekage smiled as he spoke, "Good! I'm afraid that classes have already started about a month ago so you will be a bit late but I'll take care of that."

"Now," he spoke as his face seemed to be filled with battle spirit, "How about a short spar?"

Hearing his proposal, Hitori was immediately excited as he agreed, "Okay."

'I also want to see his iron sand manipulation.'

The stage was set, I mean nothing really happened as they just face off after getting about ten meters away from each other.

The kazekage looked at Hitori curiously while Hitori stood opposite of him with two puppets standing next to him.

"Here I come!" Hitori excitedly declared as his puppets charged forward.

The first one rushed forwards and sent a punch while was easily dodged by the kazekage and the second one joined in.

A minute passed as both puppets send a barrage of punched but the kazekage was not at all flustered as he simple dodged everything.

"This is getting long," he commented as he punched a puppet, causing its head to fly off of its body.

'This is still not enough,' Hitori spoke in his mind with a hint of dissatisfaction as he walked over to the sword and gave it to his remaining to hold.

"Again!" Hitori determinedly shouted and his puppet ran forwards and charged towards the kazekage.

And as they exchanged a few hits, the kazekage realized that Hitori's control on the puppet improved drastically as his attention was now on just one of the puppets. The puppet's punches and movements were more precise and had more of a 'punch' to them. (A/N: Haha... uh... Did you not get my pun?)

The kazekage's movements turned more drastic a moment later as Hitori's puppet began to use the sword.

But nevertheless, it was not much of a problem to him and he was able to fight off the puppet. He sent a palm towards the puppet's chest which sent it flying backwards but as the puppet flew backwards. Hitori made the puppet throw the sword outwards towards the Third.

The Third easily dodged it by turning his body to the side but unsuspectingly, his face took a turn as he realized that the sword was connected by a chakra thread.

A grin appeared on the Hitori's face as he pulled on the chakra string, rotating the sword and causing it to plunge towards the kazekage.

Suddenly, the thread snapped and Hitori lost control, "Watch out!" he shouted as the sword moved in the trajectory of the kazekage's face.

But to Hitori's surprise, the Third did not move and his worst nightmare struck, the sword struck him, but to his relief, the sound of two metals clashing sounded and the sword fell to the floor. A small pile of shiny black sand appeared in front of the kazekage's face, shielding him.

"Phew..." Hitori let out a relieved sigh as his butt fell on the floor.

"Was that your magnet release?" Hitori asked with a bright curious expression.

"Yes. I'm impressed that you were able to make me bring it out," the Third spoke as turned around and looked at Hitori with a shock expression.

"Can I see it?" Hitori asked curiously as he walked towards him, eyeing the floating sand with sparkles in his eyes.

"Sure," the Kazekage replied as he brought it hand downwards and let a small amount of sand move around on the palm of his hand.

Meanwhile, Chiyo who had recovered from her shock at the start of the fight was sent back into another as she saw the sword almost injure the Third Kazekage.

She looked blankly at the child in front of her who was smiling brightly as he saw the floating black sand as she mumbled, "How in the world did he manage that?"

The kazekage seemed to detect Chiyo's gaze, he looked up and smiled, "I like this little one. It seems the village will have another Sasori-level shinobi."

He did not wait for Chiyo to respond and looked back at Hitori and spoke, "Hitori, I will wait excitedly for your graduation. Now! Let's go and get some food. I'm starving."

The three of them went to a restaurant and the Third treated them. After lunch, the Kazekage left them to be on their own as he went back to the Kage building while Chiyo began explaining what the academy was and that he would be seeing many other young people.
