10 First day at the academy- Part two

(I just want to get the academy classes down. Anyways, time skip of four years, coming soon :))

After the more written section of class, next came lunch.

The academy did not have a cafeteria and the student all ate in a section of the academy fields that was designated for eating lunch.

There were many small tables with two small benches on each side scattered across the small field. Each bench could hold four people, two on either side.

Hitori was quietly eating food happily at the backbenches when someone unexpectedly came to him with her own lunch box and her friends.

"Can we join you?" she asked as she pointed to the bench and table that was currently empty with Hitori in one corner.

"Feel free," Hitori spoke as he shifted his body to create more space on his side of the bench.

The girls then began to sit down, the two dark-haired girls sat on the side opposite to Hitori while the green-haired girl sat down next to him.

An awkward silence set in as the girls began to bring out their food from their lunch boxes and Hitori quietly ate his food.

"Is it true that you are an orphan?" the green-haired girl asked curiously as she finished setting up her food.

"Yes," Hitori replied.

"It nice to know that I'm not the only one here then. I'm an orphan too," the girl spoke as she smiled.

"Really? How did you get into this class as well then?" Hitori asked curiously as he did not expect there to be an orphan among famous clans in the village.

"I'm Pakura Aki. The last descendant of the Aki family," the girl introduced herself.

"The last descendant?" Hitori asked confusedly.

"Yep. I'm the last member of my clan," Pakura confirmed.

"How did that happen?" Hitori asked as his attention seemed to be caught on Pakura's background.

"I don't know. The old man won't tell me," she replied with an annoyed look.

"The kazekage?"

"Yes..."

"So who are you guys?" Hitori asked as he turned his head towards the dark-haired girls.

"I am Akira and this is my sister Akemi. We are twins and was are from the Nekoma clan. We are Pakura's friends," one of the girls replied with a somewhat bright expression while the other seemed to have a somewhat quiet personality.

"Nice. Pakura, how are you able to tell them apart?" Hitori suddenly asked as he seemed really interested in how they looked.

"That's easy," Pakura confidently spoke as he proudly spoke, "Matters like this are extremely simple and easy to solve. Akira is the loud and more open one while Akemi will never start a conversation by herself and you will need good ears to hear her words."

"Pakura!" Akira looked at Pakura unhappily, "How can you say to me?"

Pakura simply shook it off as she shrugged her shoulders, "Truth hurts."

Anyways, she did not give Hitori any chance to recover and instead looked to Hitori and curiously asked, "Hitori, I saw that you didn't pay much attention in class? Was it too hard to comprehend?"

"Oh... Aren't you sitting at the front? How did you notice?" Hitori responded with a question as he did not expect to be caught.

"Yeah, Pakura! How did you notice?" Akira asked loudly as she slyly eyed Pakura.

Pakura immediately grew flustered as a slight blush appeared on her face as she scrambled for an excuse. She panicked and replied, "I thought our collision might have messed up his head a bit? So I turned and saw that he looked extremely bored and lost so I felt guilty."

"Haha," Hitori laughed, "I'm absolutely fine. I just learned this already when I was with Granny."

"Granny?" the girls asked curiously.

"Grandma Chiyo. She's the one who adopted me," Hitori spoke as he lightly smiled and continued eating.

"WHAT?" the girls exclaimed in shock, even Akemi spoke out, "Your adoptive grandmother is Lady Chiyo?"

"Yes. Is there something wrong?" Hitori replied cluelessly.

Chiyo was probably one of the most famous senior shinobi in the village so it was normal for them so be in shock.

"No, there's no problem," Pakura spoke as she quickly recovered from her stupor.

The rest of lunch quickly passed as the trio continued conversing and the Aki and Nekomas' slowly got more and more open with Hitori.

The bell rang, signalling that it was time for the next class.

"Hitori, next is Shurikenjutsu training. Are you ready for it?" Pakura asked as she got up and prepared to go and put away her lunchbox.

"I've never tried it before so it should be interesting," Hitori replied as he joined the girls and put his lunchbox away before making his way to the field.

As they arrived there, they were met by Benjiro who was waiting for Hitori.

"I'll take care of Hitori from here. You girls can go and begin practice," he spoke as he took Hitori from them.

He brought Hitori to a corner of the field. There was a big stump of wood about the same size as Benjiro and on it were a series of circles on the wood.

"Do you have any experience with shurikenjutsu?" he asked Hitori.

"I only know what's in the book sensei. I have not tried in before," Hitori replied.

"I see," he spoke and he took out a scroll and unsummoned a pair of kunais.

He then gave one to Hitori and began explaining, "Since you ae quite new her, we will begin with the basic set up. You see the point in the middle of the circles of the stump?"

"Yes?"

"You are to throw the kunai accurately into it, make sure your kunai is firmly stuck in the stump or else it will not be counted," Benjiro explained.

He then threw the kunai and it landed straight in the middle, earning a worshipping clap from Hitori, "Amazing, sensei."

Benjiro then took the kunai back from the stump and then gave it to Hitori.

"Since today is your first day, you will be training here, don't mix with the others, okay? You can join them when class is done," he instructed and he then walked next to Hitori, waiting for his first throw.

Hitori gave a firm nod as he turned towards the stump and a determined glare appeared on his face as he prepared to throw the kunai.

He pulled back and tensed all his muscles as he prepared to throw.

"Here I go," he mumbled with confidence as the kunai left his hand.

The kunai flew across the field and began spinning.

"Oh oh..." Hitori knew that he had thrown it wrong. It was supposed to travel in straight like a javelin and not spin.

But surprisingly nothing bad really happened as the kunai struck the stump but it was outside the circle and on the edge. Even worse, the part that struck the stump was not the tip of the kunai but the handle.

Seeing this, Hitori's head dropped in disappointment.

"That was not a bad throw, Hitori," Benjiro suddenly spoke as he placed his hand on Hitori's shoulder, "Concentrate on your aim and the angle at which you release the kunai. Practice from closer and slowly make your way backwards."

"Got it," Hitori nodded but he did not move closer and instead threw it again from the same distance.

'Good lad, he is unwilling to take the easy route,' Benjiro thought as a short smiled appeared on his face.

"Okay, Hitori. Keep practising, I'll go and check on the others, call if you need any help," he spoke as he turned and walked to the other students.

Hitori simply nodded and walked to the tree stump to retrieve the kunais.

"This is fun," he mumbled out as he began to concentrate more.

He spent about an hour on that and then Benjiro called them once again and brought them all to the next field, "I'm sure you all know what's next so go and begin."

"Hitori, come with me for a moment. I'll explain what we are doing to you," he called out to him.

Hitori walked over and saw that the rest had started taking leaves and placing them on different parts of their body, but why? He did not know.

"This is chakra control class. We will begin at the most basic level, which is what all your classmates are at. You are to take a leaf and place it on your forehead and get it to stick for five minutes. Once, you are able to do it then we will increase the number until the whole class is able to do it. Then we will move on to another level," Benjiro explained.

"Sensei? This looks a bit too easy," Hitori spoke out suddenly with a confused expression.

"What do you mean?" Benjiro asked confusedly.

Hitori then picked up a handful of sand and laid his hand out with the sand on it. He then injected chakra to his palm, causing the sand to slowly rise and hover.

"WHAT?" Benjiro exclaimed in shock at what he had seen. This level of chakra control was amazing.

"How long can you hold it for?" he asked, wanting to know the extent of Hitori's control.

"I can hold it for more than an hour," Hitori spoke with a smile and he then changed his chakra output, causing the sand to change shape, stupefying Benjiro.

"I see... It seems like chakra control training will not be necessary for you then," he spoke. He then turned to the others and saw them desperately trying and he turned back to Hitori, "Okay. For this class, you can learn something else if you want. Try climbing the trees in the field with just your legs, inject chakra to your feet and it will make your stick to it, you can try that or you can help your friends to get better."

Hitori paused for a few moments before deciding, "I'd like to practice tree climbing."

"Okay!"

And just like that, the first day of academy schooling ended. Chiyo picked Hitori up and everyone in his class was shocked to see such a famous figure pick Hitori up.

(A/N: I spent about an hour just making sure my timeline is actually just how I wanted it to. And phew, it is :) HEHEHE

Anyways, enjoy this chapter! I think a time skip-ish chapter will come in the next chapter. Also, I'll do the Author note in the chapter to get extra words in the chapter. HEHE. Hope you all can accept my shamelessness.)
