Since none of the torches were lit, the little light from above barely touched the throne where I was sitting, shrouding me in semi-darkness. I made a note to take stock of how this would look from the outside, and whether I should take a picture or something of this, like a webtoon panel or something.

No, focus. I had a job to do.

A job that I had spent days on but had not gotten anywhere with.

Irade was still missing. And for the life of me, I could not find her.

I tried everything I could think of. I searched for her with Farsight, with satellites, with scrying, with every sort of tracking magic I could think of. Nothing. It was as if her magic signature had completely disappeared.
