2 The connection(Chapter 2)

"guess your idea for going with our torches was pretty useful Rachel" Logan said commending Rachel as they each made use of their torches. they all had a sight of how the cave was beautifully structured. "Just a book", Damion said as he pointed at a scruffy looking book on the ground Logan went ahead and took it, "woah it's pretty heavy" Logan said lifting up the book "and empty also" Logan added "let me see" Alex said as they all walked over to see the book. "Hey nerdies, what y'all doing here". "oh no" Alex said "oh yes" cherry replied. it was the QUAD SQUAD(Steven, Lisa, Dillion & Cherry), they somehow also walked into the cave

how did you get here, Damion asked wondering. "simple, we followed you" Steven answered as he chuckled "what's that at your back Logan" Dillion asked, "nothing for you to know" Rachel answered as Steven walked over to Logan and dragged his hands, Logan who wouldn't let go dragged also. then suddenly, it felt like the book came to live and was insecure because it started moving (vibrating) in their hands then it sent out a wave in an explosive way which hit all of them in the cave and made them hit their back "oww, what was that" Lisa said as they all groaned in pain as they stood up "was that from the book?", Alex asked and before anyone could even answer, "hey what are you all doing here, this is a restricted area" an armed security man said "they were the one, we just followed them here" Steven said defending himself. "we just took a walk then the book hit us" Damion replied weakly pointing to the book, "which book?" the man asked "that" Rachel said also pointing. "it looks nothing to me", the man replied implying he isn't seeing anything there, "come on, it's already dark move to your camp the man added as they all walked out of the cave".

**NEXT DAY**(Logan's view)**

it was time for the tour, Mr Palm talked as we all followed. I could see the way Steven was staring at me, but who cares. "is it only me or your heads hurt also?" Alex asked. "huh, me too heads kinda ringing also" Damion replied and I just kinda thought about it also, I've also been feeling those pains "me three", I added as I grunted. Rachel as always just kept quiet, I'm kinda scared of her I thought in my mind. we walked around and listened to all what Mr Palm had to say till the tour for that day ended "ok, that's all for today walk back to your tent and rest, anything needed will be provided" Mr Palm said as we all answered. It was already in the evening, I thought as I checked my wrist watch. it was 5:26 pm, and I was pretty tired as I layed on my sleeping bag, before I knew it, I was fast asleep.

I woke up and found myself deep in the woods,it wasn't anywhere I recognized. I think I was pretty far away from our camping site. I checked my wrist watch and it was 10:00 Pm "what am I doing here" I thought in my mind, the the next thing I knew, my head started ringing badly, it was on a whole other level than before, it felt like my head wanted to pop open. I held on to my head and groaned. then I knew this pain wasn't going away, "I need to get to the camp for help" I thought in my mind as I started running. I didn't know my way back but running was the only thing I could do. while running, I started feeling another pain, my inside was burning, like really hot, before I knew it, my nails grew longer also with my teeth, I could feel the pain as they grew, then the next thing I knew was all what I touched caught up in flames "this is all a nightmare" I said still groaning in pain as I fainted.

"It truly was all a dream" I said as I woke up suddenly. I was really relieved of waking up from that nightmare, "but it felt real" I said as I heard giggles and laughs around. I was really focused me being okay so I didn't care, then as I looked at myself I was really ashamed, I started running to my tent because I knew why some of them were laughing, I was naked. I wore some clothes as I sighed, it was few students who saw me, I was really lucky waking up at the end of the camping site. I went out to check on my friends, I saw them and I was relieved, I wanted to tell them about my nightmare which felt real, I didn't look at where I was going which made me hit Lisa (one of the QUAD SQUAD) she looked frightened "heyy, are you alright?", I asked her "it wasn't real, it wasn't real" she said as she continued walking away "what isn't real?" I asked concerned. "that's just what I finished saying, it was nothing" she replied. she was back to her rude hated self, I pretty much liked her when she was frightened "okay, anything you say" I replied remembering I wanted to go meet Damion, Alex and Rachel who were just over there, as I walked over I noticed the look on their face. it wasn't that bad, but I knew Damion was more active and brightened than what I was seeing, but whatever it is probably the mosquitoes. "hey guys, what's going on?" "Logan" Alex said "hey where were you?" Rachel continued as she asked, I could see in their faces that they were worried and I was happy I chose the right friends to be with. I smiled as I replied, nothing to worry about, "I probably left my tent cause I just had a nightmare that's all". I myself knew what I said didn't make alot of sense but anything to just have a good day, as Damion looked at me and said "well, Logan, unlucky for you and most of us here, it wasn't a nightmare".
