Reviews of Wooing my Bodyguard Wife

Ok, first thing you should know is that I'm not in to slice-of-life/romantic drama type of novels(you can verify this from the novels I posted comments/reading list) so my review is as clean as it gets.Now with this out of the way,I got this novel added to my library by clicking on a user gift. Before i was going to remove it,I thought to at least read the synopsis and I did,from there I stopped at chapter 15(right before posting this review). The novel is about an "innocent" sarcastic hardworking girl being pulled in to "the rich world" by helping/saving the second son of a rich dude sounds simple no? but it's not, you start to uncover some plots behind the event. So far the author did a good job not to oversimplifies the starting plot and to add clues (I think 🙄) to how may the story evolve! There's comedy and the dialogues are well written. I find this novel, light and refreshing,you can read it drinking your ☕ or when you pretend to do work/studies. I gave it 4,4/5 🌟 cuz i enjoyed reading it. It "cleaned my palate" so to say after reading to much "arrogant young master" and "face-slapping" MC. So for the ones that aren't in to the "slice of life/drama" etc just give it a try you may like it,for the rest at least read 3-4 chapters before you decide to skip it. This author has a hilariously witty writing style. Everything from the plot line progression to the character development seems well thought out and carefully edited. The ML and FL make the story come alive with their playful bickering and dynamic chemistry. While the story line is a slow burn, the author drops juicy tidbits along the way which only adds to the hilarious situations the protagonists find themselves in. This is seriously on-par with novels turned into webtoons and k-dramas. I cannot wait to read more from this author!

I’m not a fan of CEO novels, but the synopsis really caught my eye and then I instantly binged 50 chapters. The bickering is gold! MC being a bodyguard with a loose, brutally honest mouth and a modern view on relationships really makes this story different! The slowburn is spicy and not really a slowburn because the ML is just SO hopelessly into her, so early, and it‘s incredibly hilarious and wholesome! He is no domineering block of ice who suddenly changes his mind, he is the black sheep of his family, the unlikely, foolish best friend who can switch to shamelessly seductive and, oh dang, it works so well! To top it off, the conspiracy and mystery plot is intriguing and always keeping you on the edge of your seat. It‘s not just about the romance, you will want to keep reading to find out what is really going on with these threats. So what more could you want? Personally, I don‘t miss anything in this story, it‘s perfect 👌👏

Catchy title, compelling characters, and a story I can easily picture coming to life onscreen! I don’t usually read contemporary romance but this book is pretty good so far! Will de finitely keep up with it! The characters are so lovable and the dialogues are so funny 😂😂 will definitely be recommending this book to others~ keep up the good work author-san 🥰

Okay truth be told, I was getting kind of tired of contemporary romances (because it's always the same tried-and-tested formula of rich ceo/poor girl and he's always the one protecting her while she's weak and gets mistreated) but this one is a breath of fresh air! I'm glad my irl friend told me about this so I could give this a shot! After 30 chapters, I can say that this novel has exceeded my expectations! There is romance, but it's slowburn and the character designs are refreshingly new! Also the added crime/mystery possible thriller element makes it even better! Looking forward to reading more!

Great story and relatable characters! Strong, oblivious FL and hilariously ridiculous ML. I appreciate the different take on the typically male CEO trope. Definitely bingeworthy!

Catchy synopsis, great plot, and a strong fl that isn't the normal trend of an easily bullied fl. I have to say that it is the perfect recipe for a great novel. Do give it a try, you won't regret it.

Sypnosis is good it intice the readers to read the novel . I so badly want to read this novel right now but i can't because i've got my exams next week.

Im not really into these kind of genre but i could say this is one of the great works so far and would be the first to read. If ever, i'll recommend this for everyone else. Greatjob author keep it up♡

Contemporary romance isn't really my thing but the catchy synopsis really caught my attention. One click in and you'll find that the chapters are written in an equally-engaging manner. When I saw the name, I was "So the boss and the bodyguard will have to fight the lady" (lol) Ah! A very amazing contemporary novel with lots of potentials. I'm loving the fl right now(lol) It's highly recommended please. I hope you guys enjoy this book as much as I am doing right now.

i started reading it yesterday and I finished more than 250 in a day .... wat can I say it got me hooked soooooooo bad.... i love the way the author has shaped and written every character and every scene...i mus say Xue Ning and jingwei are jus adorable!! their banter...their awkwardness and their hot hot 🔥 chemistry .. jus love dem all...plus the whole mystery keeps u hooked.... I'm sooo excited for wat happens further... great work dear author !! 🤜🏻🤛🏻💓

Quirky, fun, and light-hearted to read. It falls more on the slice-of-life side of things with bits and pieces of comedy scattered into the mix. The story is a bit of a slow burn, but the witty interactions and the chemistry between the characters all add to the story's charm.

From the get-go, the FL's personality dances off the page without the narrator needing to explicitly tell you anything about her character. A stress-free, seamless reading experience, that you won't be skipping paragraphs or skimming lines. Keeping this spoiler-free so i'll stop here and say i'm definitely waiting for more!! 😆
