2 New Home

Laras dragged her big suitcase weakly, she turned back, staring at the house she was going to leave for a long time. Beside Laras, there was Randi who also helped his girlfriend carry two big bags. Laras's decision was unanimous, she would carry out the order from his mother to live with her aunt at the woman's house.

Meanwhile Randi, there was a flash of worry that kept the hadith when he helped Laras to pack. Don't know where the worry comes from, but the guess is when Yuni offers to live together. Randi didn't want to mislead his girl's aunt, but he always found something odd when she came.

"You're taking me to your aunt's house right?" Laras asked. Her voice was hoarse and low from crying too much. Her eyes were puffy but there was a twinkle in the dark net. As if asking Randi not to let her live with the woman who was his aunt.

"Yes."

Two medium suitcases as well as two large bags had already been placed in the room that would become his room later. Laras is alone in this room, with Randi who has always been loyal to him since yesterday.

Laras sat on the bed that was not too soft. Her brown eyes glowed, gazing around the room in a domineering gray color. It doesn't really fit into Laras' taste, because the girl likes bright colors. But it looks like from today onwards, she will switch sides by liking dark colors. Yes, dark. As dark as her life.

"The room seems to give a gloomy atmosphere," said Randi who also looked around the room. "Do you want to change the paint color? Tomorrow I'll find the color you like. What color do you want? Blue? Or pink?" Laras shook her head weakly.

"I like dark colors from now on."

"So what?"

"My life is not as bright as it used to be, Ran.The colors are gone, along with the departure of mom and dad." Laras said it with a sad tone. But now there were no more tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Hey, hey." Randi crouched down. Staring at Laras's face which was looking down deeply. He touched his lover's cold cheek, then stroked it very gently. It was as if the cheek would shatter if he rubbed it too hard.

"I'm here, Ras. I'll always be by your side. Regardless of mom and dad's departure, those beautiful colors will always be there. Even if they're gone, tomorrow I promise to bring you a new one." Randi said sincerely.

Laras looked at Randi's dark eyes. The same neutral color as her father's. Her hand reached out to touch the messy black hair in front of him. Rub it with guilt. This is a result of him. Usually, Randi's hair will always be neatly arranged. But since yesterday, all he saw was a messy, untidy mane.

"You accompany me to sleep, huh? I'm afraid to be alone," asked Laras to which Randi immediately nodded.

***

In nightmares throughout the night, Laras screamed loudly. She screamed as the image of his mom and dad disappeared into the white air. The faint smile that had appeared on both of their faces disappeared without a trace. Made Laras sob loudly, even to the point of consciousness.

"Why are you crying since yesterday?!!!" Laras jumped. Not because of the faces of his parents who reappeared with different shapes, but because of the screams from the door and the splashes of water that hit her face until it was wet.

"Hah?!" Laras looked surprised to see Yuni in a shirt and a suit. Not because she looked younger than usual, but because the dipper in her hand also had an angry expression on her face.

"Aunt why?"

"Why did you say?!" Yuni's eyebrows dipped down. "You've been crying since yesterday, until you sleep you're still crying. Crying!" Laras glared.

"What do you mean, Auntie?!"

"I mean? Stop being such a weak child. You only lost your two parents, not your life. So stop crying like the most miserable person in the world, and hurry up and prepare breakfast because I'm hungry."

It took Laras about two minutes to digest what was happening here. Perhaps she would continue to be lost in a long wonder if the water splashes no longer hit her face. "Heh! Even dumbfounded, prepare breakfast, quickly!"

After that Yuni came out, with a loud slamming of the door as well as incoherent curses that escaped her lips. Ignoring the thousands of questions lodged in herbhead, Laras got up from his sleep. Stepping outside only to find Yuni who was on her knees staring at him, also a look of anger from her eyes.

"Prepare two servings of delicious fried rice, my husband wants to come home at eight." Laras who was still in shock, just nodded without answering anything.

Laras had time to daydream for a few seconds when she saw how the state of the kitchen in this house. The number of dirty plates and glasses that were left piled up like mountains, scattered kitchen spices, also dirty cooking oil that was never thrown away.

Bad luck.

Laras is not good at cooking, but it seems like fried rice is not something that can beat her. Then with a little hesitation, she started chopping onions. Put the oil in a frying pan then mix the rice on it.

"Stupid!!" Laras jumped in surprise until the spatula she was holding fell on his feet. "Aww!!" Spontaneously she lifted her right leg which was hit by a spatula, it was so hot.

"Are you not smart enough or are you stupid?! You should have fried the onions first, why the rice first?!" Laras was silent. Sh looked down as she endured the pain in her leg from the spatula earlier.

"What were you taught by your mother to make even fried rice not good?!" Laras immediately looked up when her mother's name was called. "What do you mean, Auntie?!"

"I thought your mother was a good woman, but it turns out she's not. She doesn't have the time to teach her how to cook." Yuni said as she sprinkled the chopped onions on the pan.

Laras still hasn't responded. She really doesn't understand Yuni. Does this aunt have multiple personalities that often change traits in a matter of seconds?

"Auntie why?" Laras finally dared to speak her heart.

"Why? I'm fine. I'm just acting like a host here. You're a guest, you should be nice here."

"I can do well, but to be a maid, i don't want to!!"

"Hey!!" Laras backed away when the hot spatula pointed at her face. "You don't have anyone else, so don't be so fussy and finish this quickly!!" Snorting, Laras took the spatula back. Stir the rice in annoyance so that it makes a fairly loud sound.

"Just stir it normally!! Don't use emotion!" Yuni answered without taking her eyes off the phone.

Laras was about to turn off the stove before a man's deep voice came from the front door. "Hello, my beauty."
