3 Disgusting View

"Hello, my beauty."

Laras turned her head, only to find a disgusting sight behind her. Just as the door opened, Iwan, Yuni's husband, came dragging a suitcase. The most disgusting part was that they both acted like no one was here. They arbitrarily do scenes that are not worth showing. A kiss scene, right on the lips.

Damn.

"Uh, who's that?" Laras stuttered as Iwan walked closer to him.

"Hi? You are Laras, right? My wife's niece?" Those who were asked just nodded without answering anything.

Iwan, with his coat slung over his shoulders, leaned against the refrigerator. Staring at the girl with messy hair who was moving rice onto a plate. Iwan remembers who the girl is, her name is Laras, I don't know who Laras stands for. All he knew was, the girl had just lost her parents yesterday. His wife, Yuni, brought the girl here. To live together also to help with housework.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't attend the funeral yesterday, I can't go home because of that." Again, Laras just nodded without answering. She served two plates of fried rice on the dining table. Then she would take a plate to her room, for herself.

"I eat in my room." She said goodbye. Ignoring the pretentious words of the man who had just arrived.

Dressed in all black, Laras got out of the taxi she was riding in. Her feet stepped on the campus area paving block slowly. Walking unsteadily as if not having any spirit. Indeed, the only reason why she still wants to go to college is only one, Randi. The man told Laras not to be at home all the time, he had to go to college or anywhere else so he could forget the pain.

"Hey?" said Randi who immediately approached Laras when he saw his lover walking alone.

"Ran?" Laras looked at Randi sadly, just like yesterday.

"Why? Don't cry anymore, okay. Last night I promised not to cry anymore." Randi pulled Laras' hand to hold it. The two of them walked around the field to get to class.

"How's your aunt? She's fine, isn't she?" Laras did not respond to Randi's question. She hesitated if she had to tell her that her aunt didn't treat her well at all.

"Ras? Why are you silent? Is she mean to you?" Lara shook her head.

"No, she's fine. I just don't feel comfortable, it's really different living with mom and dad." Laras uses a convincing alibi so Randi doesn't suspect anything.

"If there's anything, don't hesitate to tell me. I'm here, always there for you." Randi said very sincerely when he arrived in front of Laras' classroom. He cupped his lover's beautiful face, staring into the black eye's with a myriad of implied feelings.

"Yes," answered Laras which brought a sad smile to Randi's lips.

"You're still mad, aren't you, because I can't be by your side all the time?" Lara shook her head. She knew what Randi meant. This man is not ready to enter the world of marriage. Apart from being young and financially unstable, Randi also has a lot of dreams. The dream he has to pursue is not just to be beside Laras as an irresponsible man because he can't provide for her.

"No, Ran. I'm just still sad. Yesterday was the worst day, should I force a smile after mom and dad can't see me again forever?"

Randy was stunned.

"Sorry." He said, then pulled Laras body into his arms.

"Laars?!!"

A girl with round glasses screamed, breaking the hug from both of them. The girl with round glasses immediately grabbed Laras' body for a hug, replacing Randi who just stood beside them.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry I can't come because I also just got home last night." Nindya Ayuningrum, the girl who was hugging Laras tightly, spoke softly.

"It's okay, Nin. How's your father doing?" Laras changed the subject. Honestly, she is still very sensitive when someone discusses the departure of her parents. She just didn't want to look weak by suddenly shedding tears just because of his condolences.

"Not getting better, he still needs to be treated." Nindy said sadly. The girl's face is almost the same as Laras, except that Laras is worse.

"Then why did you come home?"

"It's time for me to leave my best friend alone." Laras smiled faintly. She knew that Nindy was the best friend she ever had.

"Thank you." Laras said sincerely.

Among all Laras' friends, only a few had come to her parents' funeral yesterday. They also only gave condolences, then left without waiting for the funeral procession to finish. Only Nindy was willing to go all the way from Indramayu to Jakarta just so Laras wouldn't feel lonely. Although in her hometown, Nindy's father is sick and has not improved until now. But Nindy prefers to accompany Laras here.

"Nindy, I'll take Laras with me, okay. Stay with her if you can, so she won't be sad anymore." Randi said that Nindy agreed. The man held both of Laras' arms, then kissed the girl's forehead warmly.

"I'll go to class first, okay. When all classes are finished, let me know. Come home with me, okay?" Randi gently stroked Laras black mane. This did not go unnoticed by Nindy. She knew that Randi was a good man, he loved Laras sincerely.

"Even if you're still busy with the association, I'll take Laras home. I've brought the car, and I've made a driver's license too. So don't worry, you won't be fined again." Nindy's small joke managed to make Laras chuckle. The first laugh after the strong screams of the past two days.

"Okay, thanks, Nin. I'll go first."

***

Evening has arrived, dusk with a faded orange color in the sky has appeared to stretch from corner to corner of the sky. Laras got out of Nindy's car and waved before the Pajero left the yard. The bespectacled girl actually got her driver's license, she even showed off to the traffic police earlier.

Funny, a little entertaining.

Laras staggered back into Yuni's house. In her heart, she had mentally prepared to face her aunt's chameleon nature. But, what a surprise she was when she opened the main door. A scene more disgusting than yesterday had to catch her eye again. She immediately closed the door again, acting as if he saw nothing inside. Then, with slightly trembling steps, she ran away from there. Ignoring Iwan's echoing screams. "Hey?! Who's that?!"

Laras tried to get rid of her thoughts. She couldn't think positively of the scene where Iwan was making out with a woman. Another woman, not Yuni.
