266 How to twist the stubborn snake's mind...

Sharmut brought Sienna back into his room. The warm lunch was waiting on the table already for her. Sharchan and Sharchet came too early, so they just left the food for her on the table and left. Sharmut smirked at Sienna knowingly. He sat her behind the table and put the golden chain on her ankle again!

"Is it not silly?" She asked him.

"It is just to provoke my sons ..." he chuckled.

"It looks like we just missed them narrowly, the food is still hot."Sienna sighed as she opened her lunch. 

"Eat, my little Sienna, I would not like to starve you."Sharmut smiled gently and patted her head. He got a nice walk with her and felt good.

Sienna started to eat the rice with fresh mushrooms, it was Sharchan's cooking, so she smiled relaxedly. She looked at Sharmut thinking."Sharmut, how did you manage to catch me when I fall?" she asked him curiously.

"I was watching you take the chain with you, so I figured it out. Then I heard the noise as you lowered it out, so I just climbed out of the window like a snake. You were so distracted that you did not even see me." he noted.

"You are so sneaky...."Sienna shook her head chuckling.

"So tell me, how did you get out from my chain by yourself? My queen never managed that over so many years..."Sharmut smiled curiously.

"Maybe she did not have where to run."Sienna looked at him..." Maybe she loved you dearly anyway...given you have kids together. "Sienna looked at him.

"Maybe that is the case..."Sharmut nodded thinking.

"So tell me, where would you run? Sharchan is my son and Sharchet as well," he asked her.

"I would run to Sharchan's mother..."Sienna nodded cheekily.

"What?"Sharmut looked puzzled.

"To tell her that you miss her so much..." Sienna smiled sweetly.

"Do you know where she lives?" he looked at her as at the silly person.

"In the forest, no?"Sienna asked innocently.

"Silly thing, what if anyone snatches you on the way?" he shook his head.

"Well, hopefully, it will be Sharchan, he went there, didn't he?"She asked.

"Come here... "Sharmut hugged her worriedly. She was too childish in his eyes."Don't be reckless. You are a handful to watch."

"You are right in that."Sienna kissed his cheek. She finished her food but was still thinking.

"Sharmut...I do not think Sharchan will break his promise to his mother. He is a king..."Sienna said carefully.

"So?"Sharmut lifted his eyebrows curiously.

"I will be stuck with you for two days, then Marco is coming." she bit her lips sheepishly. She felt a bit sorry for Sharchan's mother and father. They were mates but did not live together!

"The Eagle King?"Sharmut asked knowingly.

"Yes, he is much stronger than Sharchan I think. He will just take me. I upset him a few times already by staying here longer, he will not agree for me to stay with you." she bit her lips.

"Well, let's see what happens." he nodded a bit stubbornly.

" Anyway, I like spending time with you..."Sienna smiled, "At least Sharchan doesn't talk to me about children. I'm not ready yet..." She nodded firmly.

Sharmut looked at her suspiciously, "So, am I being counterproductive...?" he grinned.

"Yes, "Sienna nodded, "But I don't mind. You are fun to be with."

"Do you think so?" he asked.

"Definitely." she smiled.

"You are the only one who thinks that," he sighed a bit longingly.

Sienna bit her lips and watched him for a moment. He was handsome for his age and felt a bit more human-like than when she met him for the first time.

"You are too strict sometimes."She noted.

"What do you mean?" he asked her surprised.

"I think if you try a different approach you might get what you want easily." She nodded

"What?"Sharmut looked at her shocked." Is she trying to lecture me?" he thought.

"Yes, you can get your mate to be with you willingly here if you want to work for it a little..." she noted thinking.

Sharmut took a deep breath to calm down. Sienna started to get under his skin and he did not feel comfortable about it. He wanted to snap at her but stopped at the last moment."Maybe she knows something..." his sneaky snake talked in his mind. "Play a sorry man and get her to help you. You will be the one to win or prove her wrong."The white snake chuckled.

"  How? My mate is a fox, she is too wild..."Sharmut sighed, playing a sorry man as his snake suggested."You don't know her at all."

"Well, you can tame a fox with kindness, "Sienna nodded. "You need to have a look at what she likes, what she needs and what she wants... "she counted on her fingers cutely...

"Like it is this easy..."Sharmut chuckled entertained."My snake is right, there is no point in being upset with her, she is just trying to help." he thought.

"Well, it depends on both of you."Sienna nodded."But you can be the one to take the first step forward. What does your fox like?"

"Hm, she likes to run around the forest, pick the herbs, and cook her beauty concoctions..." he said. She is wild and hard to tame...She just wants to play in life with her hair blowing in the wind." he sighed.

"Then you can make her playground next to you. Make her laboratory here to play...but if she likes freedom, you can't restrict her, you have to leave the doors open for her to come and go as she pleases. "Sienna nodded.

"What?" he looked at her like at a crazy person.

"Well, she is an adult, you have to treat her with respect if you want to keep her close, "Sienna said carefully."You have to merge what you want and what she wants. It is called compromise...The more you give her, the more you get..."Sienna said.

"How do I make her stay next to me freely...from her own will?"Sharmut continued to play. This was getting interesting!

"You will have to make the time with you more fun than she can have by herself."Sienna nodded."Besides, you, S and Sharchan, all of you have an intoxicating presence, you smell good, so try to make her come sleep next to you at night, so she can get used to you again...to make her crave you."Sienna noted.

"Aren't you a bit personal? "he looked at her with furrowed brows. She was too straightforward for his old fashion merits!

"Well, we both are adults, no? In my world is normal to talk openly about relationships, it helps to heal them."Sienna noted.

"Aha..." he bit his lips." She is way too different." he thought."Well, good for my son..." he chuckled in his mind...

"And how do you propose to start then?" he asked eagerly. He was such a good actor! 

"You need to use her curiosity to lure her in...and then show her that you are a safe, caring and funny person to be around. That you will respect her choices." she nodded.

"This is crazy!" he shook his head. "Do it!" said the snake in his head."It will be so much fun!"

"Well, what can you lose? You can only gain. You need to use your time till you both live, it will be too late to feel sorry an hour before you die."She smiled at him satirically.

"What?"His thoughts from the icy snowy room flashed in his mind suddenly as he stared at her speechless.

"Yes, so many couples just walk around each other feeling upset and then find their mistake just before they die and realize they wasted way too much time arguing..." she nodded.

"You are way off!" he shook his head."You sound ridiculous..." he breathed out. She was getting too much for him right now!

"Well, you tried your approach and she is there and you are here!"Sienna pointed her index finger in the air as a teacher." It is wrong! Do something else and give yourself a chance!" Sienna tried to encourage him...she was almost impossible to stop when she started...

"It looks easy enough!" Sharmut started to think after he calmed down his raging thoughts a little."It will be a new interesting game...playing kind...and Sienna will be off my neck! She really talks too much for her age..." he chuckled in his mind a bit bitterly. She was already playing on his normally cold nerves.

"Hmm, why not, you can help me make the plan and I will see how it works..." he said finally.

"Great."Sienna smiled."She was so excited to help him."When he will be busy with his mate, I will get off his chain."She smiled in her mind...

Sharmut looked at Sienna who just stopped talking. She was smiling happily, that she could help. Sharmut enjoyed a few moments of sweet silence before he asked her."So, how do I get her here?"

"Well, you will have to give her your word that you will not trap her in the chain first..."Sienna said resolutely.

"Why do you females have to be so difficult!" he looked at her annoyed a little.

"To keep you males busy...." she smiled a bit satirically.

"True, true." he nodded more for himself."So, how about your kings? How do we do that...? I do not want to look like a fool!"Sharmut sighed. He felt like a fool already by listening to Sienna's skin-deep lecture.

"I know, we need to match it to your word somehow..."Sienna nodded."So what exactly was your request?" she asked.

"That when my mate will exchange the golden chain with you, then you will be free to go," Sharmut said seriously.

Sienna touched the delicate golden chain on her ankle.

The links of it were looking like expensive jewellery. Each link was perfect!

"I have an idea. "She smiled."I will sort it out. But first take these chains off, leave just one link to remind Sharchan." she smiled." And make that link more pretty, you should add some crystals to it and a picture of a fox if you want your mate to exchange it with me," she smiled sweetly.

"Ok," Sharmut looked at her, she looked so carefree suddenly. He realized what her plan was.

Sharmut worked on one link to make it really beautiful.

"You have such a talent Sharmut," Sienna nodded.

"Glad you like it..." he noted and put it back onto her ankle. It was just one very expensive-looking anklet-like link.

"Can you let me talk to Sharchan now, please?"Sienna asked.

Sharmut nodded and went to the window."Sharchan, come to visit!" he called.

"Will he hear you...?"Sienna asked.

"Sure, they both will." he chuckled. And really in a few minutes, Sharchan and S were at the door. Sharmut let them in and they looked at Sienna pitifully.

"Sienna, we missed you," S noted sweetly. Sharchan looked at her painfully, he was not sure how to set her free at all!

Scharmut took Sienna around her waist familiarly. He wanted to show him a little...

"So where is your mother?"Scharmut grinned at Sharchan.

"In the forest..."S said instead.

"She did not come?"Sharmut faked to be surprised...

"I did not call her..."Sharchan bit his lips.

"Maybe I can visit her then? I like to meet your mother."Sienna smiled at Sharchan and turned to his father sweetly.

"Sharmut, will you let me go with Sharchan, please? I promise to be back if his mother refuses to exchange your chain with me." she smiled.

"OK, then."Scharmut nodded smiling graciously.

"Thank you."Sienna kissed his cheek.

Sharchan and S shook their heads in disbelief.

"What did Sienna do with our stubborn father...?" they both thought shocked!
