8 Chapter 8: Mansion Full of Trap

Seiji's team went to the front roof by zip line. Went they reached the roof, the attached a sticky bomb and detonated it to make a hole in the roof to make their way in. They threw a smoke bomb and checked if there is anybody around by using a heat scanner. As they did not find any heat sign, so they rush in.

When they entered the mansion, once more, one of them tried to detect is there any heat signal using a special device looks like goggle to find the victim and the enemies.

The heat detector expert reports his finding to Seiji "Commander, we have found a heat signal in the middle room downstairs. Maybe it is the victim if we refer to her sitting position, like someone who kneeing with a tied hands at the back".

Seiji said "if that so, let's ambush from above again, we went exactly above them, and then we break the floor and jump in".

The heat detector interrupt Seiji planning "but Commander, this is weird".

Seiji asked "what weird? What happen?".

The heat detector replied in a shocked and panicked intonation "the reading… it said… everything… is hotter than usual. All I can see is… only the victim room is normal room temperature with the victim's heat inside. Other than that, walls, floor, ceiling, are hot like a human body. So, we can't read the enemies temperature".

Seiji shocked "What?!".

Suddenly they realized there were speakers and cameras everywhere, and the speaker started emitting the enemy voice "you guys already started to play? Huh, you guys have no patience, how can you guys can be called as policemen if you don't have a high patience.

But it is ok, I'm glad you are so eager to play my game. I hope it is not too late for me to said welcome to you guys.

So, welcome strong and clever policemen! To the most exciting game of all time, called Trap or Hell Mansion.

The rule is simple, anyone who can bring the girl out, they win. But if they died, they lose. Easy right?

Wait, what is the reward if they win you may ask? If they win, the girl and the players can continue their live, as the only way to lose is death and the only way to win is to stay alive.

Seiji said to himself "this guy is a psycho".

Seiji said to his teammates "let me tell Zen where the victim location is".

He tried to contact with Zen using his earpiece, but unfortunately, the earpiece was not functioning.

The enemy talked again using the speakers "oh sorry, communication device is not allowed. Please keep them in flight mode HAHAHAHAHA".

Seiji then just continued to move "it looks like we can't connect with the other team. Let's just moving forward".

They starting to move to the point where they can stand on the top of the victim room.

Suddenly there was a shot, trying to shoot them, but none of them got hit. They immediately took cover and checked their surroundings.

A man stood up from his hiding and tried to shoot one of the policemen, but with Seiji quick movement, the guy gets shot on his head just in a split second.

One of the Seiji teammates asked Seiji permission "Commander, let me move forward to check if there are any more enemies or not, may I?"

Seiji replied "alright, be careful".

When the teammate moving forward and checking the surroundings, he saw the corpse Seiji just shot, his bullet proof vest was bleeping.

The teammate shocked and tried to run away while shouting to his teammates "HE IS NOT WEARING A BULLETPROOF JACKET! HE IS WEARING A…".

The teammate doesn't finish his words, the corpse exploded with the teammate.

Seiji shocked and said "he is wearing… an explosive vest".

Out of nowhere, another enemy went out from his cover and run toward one of the teammates and hugged him while crying and said "please! Help me! Get me out from here! I don't know this vest is a…". The enemy exploded with one of the Seiji teammates.

Shocked feeling in Seiji was double up as he saw his two of his teammates died in a row in front of his eyes.

The last teammate, the heat detector, was so scared until he fell as his knee was shaking like crazy.

In the meantime, at first floor, Zen's team successful break in and listened to the enemy speech through the speaker and listened to the explosions cluelessly, didn't know what happened above him.

One of Zen's teammates asked "what is that explosion? Is it from Commander or the opposite?".

Zen tried to contact Seiji, but he can't "it looks like the enemy is not lying, we can't use communication devices in this mansion. Looks like this guy will give us a hard time.

As we can't communicate with the other team, I guess we just need to move forward, searching for stairs to go to the second floor. Forget the plan we discuss before".

As they move forward, they move through a door, but Zen doesn't realize there was a detector at the door.

One of his teammates shouted "Zen! Look out!".

There were three saw blades flying toward Zen, but Zen don't even panic. He took his machete without removed the sheath, and used it block away one of the nearest saw blades, until the saw blade hit the wall.

Zen said to them "don't worry about me, worry about yourself first. This place required a really careful step. No wonder the enemy called this game as Trap or Hell Mansion.

Guys let's move forward; we don't go anywhere if we keep sitting here".

As they carefully moving forward, searching for the stairs to go to the second floor, suddenly there was someone tried to shoot them from behind, but as they all are professionals rank A, they can see that coming.

They dodged by rolling on the floor and took any nearest wall or object to be their cover. Once they got their cover, they are searching for the one who shooting at them, and they shoot the guy immediately when they saw him, but they don't kill him as he fell behind his cover after got a shot on his body.

One of the Zen's teammates became cocky, and walk toward the wounded enemy while saying "what type of cheap attack was that? We are rank A in the police department, what make you think that attack can take us out?".

Zen heard the beeping sound from the enemy and immediately pulled the teammate "wait don't go, that is a trap".

The wounded enemy was exploded, making everyone there shocked.

Zen pissed off and said to himself "damn… I never thought the enemy was this mean. If he can kill his subordinates this easy, he will think killing the enemies is just a toy for him.

Maybe the explosions from above, were the same as this".

Suddenly there was a paper ball, thrown from behind a wall, to Zen. Zen took the paper ball and read what inside.

The paper said "please help us, we don't know this is an explosive vest. At first, he promised us to give a lot of reward if we help him, but it just a trap. We can't go anywhere, the result is the same, death. I beg you, please help us, even you want to put us in the jail after this".

Suddenly the enemy talked through the speaker again "what is that? What are you trying to tell the policemen? You think I don't see that? Too bad for you. What I said about communicate with our enemies? Cannot, right? So here, your gift".

There was an explosion from behind the wall, where the paper ball came from.

The voice from the speaker said "can't you see?! I'm the one in control now! Don't even think to do something against my order!".

Zen calmly throw the paper on the floor and raised his voice "alright everyone! I don't care how many of you guys are becoming his subordinates right now, I can't save you guys, I'm sorry! But I can give you guys' a less painful death than exploding for no reason. So, just follow that man's order and wait your turn to be killed! Once more, I'm sorry, I can't save you guys!".

Zen's teammates shocked and one of them was asking "what are you doing? What is your plan now?"

Zen answered "kill".
