5 Chapter 5: Training Session! Zen team VS Seiji team

Zen was practicing his shooting skill in the shooting room at the headquarter. Suddenly he heard someone clapping from the back.

"Nice shot, Zen!" someone looks like a middle-aged man with a nametag that reads "Commander Seiji".

"Oh commander, are you here for a shooting practice too?" asked Zen.

"Well, I just want to see a really talented police officer here, you" said Seiji.

"I don't want to be rude to you, but straight to the point please" said Zen.

"Damn Zen don't be so serious. Here, I just want you to enter my team. I always heard rumours about your skill in combat and tactical. So, I invited…" said Seiji but interrupted by Zen's rejection "no thanks".

"Hey, come on, everyone wants to enter this elite group of mines. Can't you imagine fame you will get from finishing elite operations? Also, you can get double of normal policeman salary as a reward" said Seiji.

"No, thank you" said Zen while walking toward the exit door but blocked by Seiji.

"So, you want to use the hard way. Let's have a battle. If you I win, you join my team, but if you win, you can reject it and have any wish you want me to grant, how about it?" said Seiji.

Zen sigh and reply "huh, man, you are so forcing. Yeah whatever, I guess I agree. If I win, don't even bother me about it anymore".

"Deal" said Seiji while shaking hands with Zen.

"Alright, if you agreed, we would meet again three hours from now at the abandoned hotel building near the iron factory. find five persons to be your teammates, we will have a five versus five bomb defusing simulation. My team will be the bomb protector and your team will be the attacker. Don't be late" Seiji briefing about the simulation.

"Don't worry, I'm a punctual person. But one thing bothering me, isn't that grumpy chief ok with this?" asked Zen.

"Oh hahaha, don't worry about that old man, he and me are like brothers. Just assume he approved" said Seiji.

"If like that, I guess, I have nothing to worry anymore" said Zen and walked away.

Zen met Reina to join him as a team. "You know I will not reject your request. But how about the other teammates? You said a team of five, now only just two of us" said Reina in a mood less emotion and tone.

"Let's invite that kid again! What his name again? K… K… Khan? Koi? Kyle?" said Zen.

"Kai" Reina answered. "Yes, yes that one. Let's call him now" said Zen while took his phone out.

After Zen told what happened to Kai and invited him through phone, Kai answers "NO! Not anymore! What you want me to be this time? Weapon holder? Sweat wiper?"

"Don't be so emotional, kid. Don't worry kid, this time I let you to show your true potential. Also, this is just simulation, you will not get beat up like last time" Zen tried to persuade Kai.

"Huh, so, what time?" asked Kai as sign he accept the invitation. Zen so happy to hear that, then he briefed about the simulation to him.

"What about the other two?" asked Reina.

Zen smiled and said "Isn't you have simpers in A rank?"

"Please don't" said Reina while looking away as a sign of rejection. Zen keep persuade her until finally she accepts.

The time has come. Zen and Reina arrived at the place, but they saw so many people there.

"Why so many people here?" asked Zen.

Reina asked one of the people there "excuse me, why so many people here?".

The guy answered "oh the information about a fight between Zen and Commander Seiji was leaked all around the headquarter. People are coming to see who will win".

"Oh, you already arrived! So where are the others?" asked Seiji to Zen.

"I'm here" Kai just arrived at the place.

"We are also here, Reina!" said the other two teammates in lovey faces while looking at Reina.

Kai whisper to Zen "Who are those weirdos?".

"Don't worry about them, they just Reina simpers from rank A. I guess, if they simping, it is easier for them to join our team" Zen answered.

Seiji said to Zen "there will be cameras at some corners of the building because chief asked me to do so. At first, he declined my request, but after persuading a little bit more, he approved with this condition. He said he want to see what happen and want the other police officer who are not patrolling to watch as learning.

So, without any further, let me brief the simulation. First, all the weapons are training weapons even it looks like the real one. The guns will shoot paint bullets and the knife will leave a paint mark if it hit someone. So, anyone with the paint marks or dots on their clothes or body, will be eliminated.

Three minutes will be the time for the defuser team to defuse the bomb. If the time end, automatically the bomb protector team wins. If any of the team have all their members eliminated, it will be count as lose.

So, without any further, let's start the game!".

All of them took their training weapons. As usual, Zen just took a random handgun with silencer, Reina took a sniper, Kai and the other two were taking SMG.

"Alright, we don't have so much time, so our plan is just we will enter the building by two side, east and west. Kai and I will enter through east, meanwhile three of you will enter through west. If you made it to the bomb room, wait for me to arrive there, don't enter without my order, understand?" Zen was explaining the plan to his teammates.

"Understand!" said all his teammates.

They then follow the plan and entered the building. As they only have three minutes, they just run and rush to find the bomb room.

Unfortunately, there was a shoot nearly hit Reina.

"Everyone, cover yourself! Someone is here!" Reina shout to her team.

They cover themselves behind a wall, to analyse the place without getting hit. After a few moments, they heard footsteps from a corner. When they look where the sounds come from, they saw two men.

"Let me shoot them" said Reina while snipe in and focus to her target. As she is a skilful sniper, she shoots those two in a second.

"Three more to go" said Reina while point down her sniper.

"Reina, watch out!" said one of the teammates while pulling Reina from being shot.

"You know, the first rule in doing operation, never let your guard down. Feeling comfort after took down a few opponents is very dangerous. You don't know how many more are waiting to attack you, maybe they are just bait" said Seiji, the one who tried to shoot her.

Reina without replying, point her sniper to Seiji and try to shoot him but miss as Seiji is moving to left and right quickly.

Seiji reached in front of Reina really fast, and pointing his submachine gun to Reina's stomach "Trying to shoot using sniper in a short distance? What an absurd action, especially when the enemy move out from your scope vision and stay in the blind spots".

"Don't be so sure, we are still here" said two of them behind Reina.

"Hahaha that is also a mistake. Why you not just shoot me, instead of you tell me your presence there? I don't know why people like you guys were chosen by Zen, especially this woman" Seiji is mocking them.

"Don't talk bad about Reina!" said one of Reina's teammates and trying to shoot Seiji, but Seiji used Reina as a human shield. The guy shocked and regretted his action.

"Yes, second lesson, don't bring personal feelings into an operation" said Seiji.

"You bastard!" said them while one of them was pointing his gun to Seiji and the other one tried to melee attack him.

Unfortunately, Seiji movement is faster. He shoots the guy who point his gun to him at the head and kneeing the other guy who tried to charge, and melee attack him at the guts.

"You guys are rank A, right? Oh my, the quality has been dropped since I left the rank.

Now, let's search the other two. I hope my team already took them out, but it must be difficult as Zen is one of them. I guess, I will just be waiting at the bomb room" said Seiji while lighting up a cigarette.

On the other side, when Seiji fighting with Reina and the other two, Zen and Kai running, searching for the bomb room.

"I hope they will just fine" said Kai.

"I believe in Reina's skill, but the sniping skill is less efficient through this narrow place, especially if she meets Commander Seiji. I have sparred with him twice. From my experiences, he is fast, moving from side to side, makes people hard to predict his movement. I hope, the two other guys can back her up" said Zen.

Zen suddenly stop running and said "Kid, stop! I heard something. We have been detected".

"Yeah, I also hear it" said Kai.

Zen checked his surrounding and found a flying drone that the colour is blending with surrounding. Zen shoots the drone, and the drone falls.

Suddenly someone clapping and moving toward them. Kai and Zen's eyes were concentrated at that man.

The man said while walking toward them and smiling "no wonder Commander asked me to be careful if I meet you. That drone you just shoot, help us a lot in operations as enemies can't saw it clearly, but you, can detect it just by listening, what an amazing ability!".

While they were concentrating listened to that man, another man tried to take Kai down from behind using the training knife, but Zen aware of it told Kai "Watch out! Your back!".

Kai saw that man nearly stabbed him, he immediately back thrust that guy on the guts and pointing his gun on that guy's head.

The man whose talking before, saw what happened, and starting to point his gun to Zen and said "Huh, I guess we should just follow the commander's order to take down these guys immediately instead of trying to do fancy takedown. I guess we just make it harder.

Now, if you shoot my teammate, I will shoot Zen, and it will be a one versus one. If that's happen, I don't think you can stand against me, useless rank B guy".
