3 Chapter 3: Gluttony for Drugs

A few minutes before, Zen already blend in with the enemies and saw Kai get caught and tied on the chair.

Zen talked to Reina through earpiece "The fishes already took the bait. It will give us a few times.

According to my observation, the total of enemy is 23 people, including the leader, the client, and the one Kai just knocked off, so we just need to handle 22 people."

Suddenly, one of the enemies greeted Zen "hey who are you talk to?". Zen answer him calmly "Oh nothing, just some religious prayer things". "Oh really? If that so, pray for my well-being" said the guy. "Oh no worries, I will. Also, I pray for all of us" answered Zen until the guy left.

Then, Zen heard Kai shouted "I will not tell you! Even my life on the line! I will not! I will never cooperate with someone like you!".

"I love this kid integrity! Now Reina, start call for the ambush team, we going to start acting. My estimation, they will be arrived when we finish done our job" Ordered Zen to Reina.

"Guys stop! There is a police officer among us!" Gluttony started to recognize Zen as an undercover.

"Oh my… I am busted. Now let's go to the next session. Ready Reina!" asked Zen to Reina as the sign of operation starting.

"Attack him!" ordered Gluttony to his subordinates.

Zen bring out his knife on his left hand and a handgun with silencer at his right hand. He shoots the knee of the nearest person and throw the knife to the people behind that guy. He then charges to the guy with his knife attached to the body and pull it off back and slash the person who tried to attack him from his back on the chest.

"What are you guys doing?! Shoot him!" ordered Gluttony to his subordinates that far from Zen.

Zen saw that three persons pointing a rifle on him, so he just takes the nearest person he can grab, use it as a human shield until the guy get shot. "I don't want to kill, but this literally you guys killing your own friend" said Zen. Reina then shoots the guys who tried to shoot Zen using sniper.

"Six people out, remaining 16 people more" Zen counting.

Anybody who tried to shoot Zen from distance, will get shot by Reina, so that Zen can keep fighting in the close-range. Zen slash someone on the thigh and shoot the one who charging into him on the collarbone. Someone tried to slash him with a butterfly knife, but he dodged easily and slash the guy's pulse. There is also someone try to kick Zen, but he broke the knee in a split second without making the victim realized it for a few second.

Zen keep taking down his enemies with breaking their bones, slashes with his knife, and shoot at non-vital part while counting down the remaining.

Gluttony got an idea to sneak away with the client while Zen is busy with the fight, but they cannot get out from the place. As they try to run away, Reina shoots them on their leg, so that they cannot move.

As their subordinates saw their leader fall, they lost their motivation to fight. So, Zen use this opportunity to wipe all of them easily. "It is not that I am a mean person, but this is my job. Also, I am not even killing you guys, please don't hate me" said Zen to all the enemies.

The last Gluttony's subordinates that standing looks scared as Zen is slowly walk toward him and said "you choose, attack me and I will take you down, or surrender, tie yourself down, and rest until this is finish". The guy was very panic, he tried to point his rifle at Zen, but he can't, as Zen throw his knife to the guy's collarbone, make the guy fall in shock. Zen pulled his knife from the guy and stomped the guy's hand while said "I give you chance, you just ruining it. Sorry for stomping, I just don't believe in you anymore".

Gluttony shocked looking all their subordinates and client fall just because of two persons. Zen walk getting near to Gluttony, but Gluttony tried his best to crawl away with a scared face but can't. Zen throw his knife beside Gluttony's head as a warning to stop moving away.

"What are you? Monster?! How can you take more than 20 people just by two of you?!" asked Gluttony.

"Don't move. Just wait for the other police to arrest you guys, my job here is done" said Zen while trying to lie down on Gluttony's belly like a pillow.

"Oh wait, let me untie Kai first. I almost forget about him" said Zen while standing up.

"Zen? Is that you?" asked Kai subconsciously.

"Yes, it is me. Well done, you done a great job" praise Zen.

After a few moments, the police team came to the scene and arrest all the enemies.

"So, you said this fresh rank B kid is the mastermind behind this operation?" asked one of the police to Zen.

"Yes, he is. Can't you see? I am not wearing uniform here. The kid just called me to help him when he saw this scene, So I invite other police to join me helping him" Zen tried to make up a story.

"Still, how three persons can take over 20 persons? It is logic, but still it is hard to do that, maybe one in a thousand" said the police again.

"Oh yes, we just sneak around, attack when they are not aware. Throwing a smoke bomb and sleepy smoke to make them lost focus" Zen still tried to cover the story.

Zen suddenly saw two mysterious men wearing cloak in the top of a building, looking at them.

"Wait, I will be right back" said Zen to the police and try to chase them.

Unfortunately, they already disappeared when Zen reached the place they were standing.

Zen came back to the scene.

"Let's continue with your…" said the police just now but Zen don't really care about him and said to Kai "kid, you write the report for this scene please, thank you".

"Why me?" asked Kai.

"I try to help you here. If you write many reports with your name as the one who lead the operation, you will promote the upper rank" said Zen.

"But…" Kai tried to argue but Zen ignore him and move away from the scene.

"What is wrong him?" asked Kai.

Reina reminds Zen "hey, don't forget to buy a karambit". "Oh, I almost forgot about it. Thank you, Reina, for reminding" said Zen.

Meanwhile in the other place, two mysterious men were talking to each other. "Our Gluttony is finished. What are we doing now? Should we replace him with someone new?" asked the first guy with a hoarse voice. "We don't need that, his job already done with us. Can't you look? This city… no, this country, the drug dealing activities cannot be stopped. People are eager to get them, addicted to them! This is what I called gluttony for drugs! Humans are evolving. Gluttony for foods isn't a thing anymore, gluttony for drugs will destroy society!" said the second guy.

On the next day, chief room was shaken by chief's voice scolding Zen.

"You said you will take care of that kid! What the meaning of this?! The kid was sending to hospital to get a treatment on his face! There are some cracked bones on his face!" the chief scolded Zen.

Zen doesn't really focus on what chief said. He is picking his nose, his ears, playing with his hair, and reply to chief after chief finish scolding "don't worry boss, I already promised him to treat him for a dinner".

"I don't care! You just break your promise to protect him! I guess I will not let you to invite anybody anymore after this. Thanks God, I don't get so much question from the government.

Huh, anyway, well done with the case, you guys done a great job" praised chief after scolding.

"Welcome boss!" replied Zen casually with smile.

"Call me Chief here!" chief scolded.

That evening, Zen went to the hospital to pay a visit to Kai.

"Yo kid!" greet Zen.

"Oh Zen, you come to visit me" Kai replied.

"Yeah, and look what I bring for you, a chicken cutlet with curry and rice!" said Zen while showing the food at his hand to Kai.

"Thank you, but… Why don't you tell me your plan is to use me as bait?!" Kai scold at Zen.

"Well, I just don't believe you could act like one if I told you that time. Isn't it look natural when you don't know anything? Hahahaha" said Zen.

"I guess I just agree with you, as you are my senior and my leader in that operation" said Kai patiently.

"Hahahaha why with your face? So many patches hahahahaha! Ugly boy hahahaha! You will not get a girlfriend!" Zen teasing Kai.

"This is all your fault! Why are you teasing me suddenly?! I just forgive you!" said Kai.

They keep making noise and having fun until the day ends.
