14 Chapter 14: The Birth of The Void

Zen jumped and did a slapping kick to the enemy's rifle and continued with a back kick to the enemy's face while Zen's hands still tied.

For a split second, all the enemies were shocked by Zen's action. Zen used the split-second opportunity to untie his hands. He saw a katana sword in a frame on the wall. He kicked the frame and the sword started to fall. Zen ready his hands to the estimated place where the sword will fall to cut the rope that ties his hands. Fortunately, his plan worked.

Zen can't really think that time. His body was like moving on his own, his instinct was overwhelmed his body. He took the sword and dashed to those enemies.

One of the enemies said to their subordinates "what are you waiting for?! Kill him!". All the enemies pointing their guns to Zen, but Zen's movement was very fast and unpredictable.

Just in a blink of an eye, Zen cut off the first enemy's both hands, and continue with cutting off his head. One of the enemies just trying to spray the bullets to Zen, with a hope that there will be a lucky shot that can kill, or at least stopped Zen from moving. But it was not a smart idea. Zen pulled the nearest enemy he can grab and used him as a human shield. All those bullets just hit the human shield. Zen threw away the human shield and threw his sword to the one who tried to shoot him until the sword pierced the body. Zen dashed to that guy, and kicked the sword very hard, until the sword handle going through the body.

Even Zen just killed three people, the others look scared and losing their confident to fight Zen. Zen took the sword covered with blood, and the dead enemy's gun, turn around to the enemies "now I give you chance to run away, only if… you want to run. Don't you think I'm a nice guy, giving chance to those who killed innocent people without even hesitate for a bit?".

The old guy, which was their leader, replied to Zen "what a cocky young man! Listen here! Don't any of you dare to run away from that brat! He is alone! Now go kill him!".

All the enemies started to charge and point their guns to Zen. Zen calmly said "what a fool…".

Zen move so fast; nobody can target him properly to shoot him. Without they realized, Zen already cut a person into two. Most of the enemies' face change pale.

Zen continued to attack without stopping. Zen cut enemy's leg, make the enemy lost his balance. When the guy fall, Zen just wait on the floor, holding the sword pointing up. Makes the enemy will fall on the sword.

Zen took every of them, one by one, with different type of terror and gore killing style, until the room covered with blood, and Zen himself was blood bathing.

Zen saw the only one left was their leader, the old man who order all the enemies to kill him. Zen walked slowly toward him, and he look so scared.

The leader said "wait… wait… let's have a talk first. I can see you have a good move. How if I promote you to work with me. I will give you anything, fame, money, women".

Zen replied "I don't want those stuff. You want to talk? Do you give a chance to those policemen who you just killed brutally? Do you give a chance to your underlings to save their lives?".

The leader panicked and brought out his revolver gun and tried to shoot Zen, but Zen cut his hand immediately just after he tried to raise his hand. Zen put his sword to the leader's neck and said "well it is the least thing you can do now, but it is not enough. Say your prayers, or any religious thing you want to say to have a better life on the next life".

After Zen saw tears came out from the leader's eyes, Zen immediately cut his head off. Zen walked away and said "well that is the least painful death I can give you". As Zen about to head out exit from the building, he fainted.

When he woke up, he realized he was already outside, lying covered with blanket in a van, and saw a lot of policemen around him.

Chief greeted Zen "oh you wake up already".

Zen cluelessly asked "what… just… happened?"

Chief replied "everyone is dead. No one survive, neither the enemy side nor our side. But the odd thing is, you are the only survivor. We will watch the CCTV footage tape later at the headquarter".

After Chief went away, Sabela walked near the van with her assistant.

The assistant asked Sabela "are you sure you want to take a look at your father?"

Sabela replied "please, don't talk so loud. What do you think a daughter of a mafia leader is a lieutenant in the police department? It will disgrace my name if people know about it. I'm here just to take a look, then we will go away immediately".

Zen suddenly remembered everything what just happened "mafia leader… everyone is dead… the only survivor. I'm the killer".

Zen immediately stood up and get out from the van and ran to Chief.

Zen pulled Chief's right hand to somewhere there is less people and whispered to him "Chief I have a confession to make. The one who killed all the enemies… was me!".

Chief suddenly laughed "what are you talking nonsense? How can you kill all the enemies that fully armed, all by yourself?".

Zen tried to persuade Chief to believe him "please Chief, believe me! At least, hold back the CCTV footage from the others".

Chief keep thinking Zen was joking "why? Even if we find it real, it must be something you must be proud of".

Zen body started to tremble very hard, and he started to prostrate to Chief "please! I just heard that the leader was Lieutenant Sabela's father. If I only killed her father normally, I'm still ok with it. But the way I killed her father, will give a huge shocked to a daughter like her. And I guess it would be a big trouble if she knows that I'm the killer".

Chief asked "why? How you killed her father?"

Zen replied "by cutting his head off, and she might also find out that her father's hand was cut off. And if she… no… everyone knows I killed all of them by myself, they will think I'm a monster. It will be a big problem".

Not so long after Zen told Chief about what happened, they saw Sabela went out from the building with a shocking face with red eyes.

As Chief saw what just happened, he started to believe Zen "alright let's go back to headquarter and watch the footage".

Both of them went to the headquarter. Only two of them in the Chief's office to watch the footage. After Chief watched the footage, he found out that all Zen's saying was right.

Chief asked Zen "as what you said was right, so now what are you going to do? You want to resign?".

Zen said with tears coming out from his eyes "No, I don't think resign can change a lot of things, Lieutenant Sabela will still hold grudge for the one who killed her father, and I still want to be a policeman, there is still things I want to do".

Suddenly Chief got an idea "if you still want to be a policeman, in the same time keep this secret away from the police society, how if you work under the shadow?".

Zen asked "what do you mean?".

Chief replied "your data, any case you solve, any update, I will not upload it on database. Like that, you will not be blooming in the society. And of course, all your task, only me can assigned. Easy said, you work directly under me. How about it? Do you agree?".

Zen tears suddenly stopped, and he said "yes, if that is the least thing I can do, I agreed".

Chief said "oh one more thing, your identity will not forever be hidden. One day, there must be a person who discover about you".

Zen replied "until that time, I just do my job as a normal policeman, meanwhile all data stayed in the void".
