The Past

"Woaw!" Noah gasped.

"You liking it here?" Cap'n Buck said while eating his lamb rib and mash potato with peas and lettuce.

"Hell yeah! I didn't know you were a kind of King!" Noah complimented.

"Well, You can say, I kinda forgot. HA-HA-HA!" Cap'n Buck guffaws.

Noah munched on his crunchy piece of toast and smiled at Cap'n Buck.

It's been hours after they have settled into his grand mansion. A very beautiful one, indeed. With a whole yard of fresh AstroTurf and a magnificent water fountain in front of the great building. It would never be thought that the place around it is actually deserted…

"Hey. Cap'n- I mean Bucky?" Noah said as soon as he had finished what he was eating.

"Hmm?" Cap'n Buck hummed.

"Why…is the outside of the mansion so deserted and lifeless? It couldn't have been that you lived in a fabulous place like this when you were a kid and the outside was so awful."

"Ah. Well, it wasn't all bad as it is now." Cap'n Buck started.

"It was filled with life and buzzing with tourists and locals and everyone who wanted to stay here and wander through the place. The air was fresh and clean, the scenery was new and vibrant and the people were rather flamboyant and lively. It was a good time, really. A friend of mine always used to come over here when my parents weren't here. His name was Pyriko and oh my goodness he was funny!"

Noah smiled at Cap'n Buck's vibrant memory.

"So what happened afterwards?" Noah asked.

"Well…W-Well…"

Noah saw the faint tears of sadness and dismay on Cap'n Buck's face.

He hadn't meant to make him sad. He hadn't meant to make him remember the treasured and hidden memories of his childhood.

What was he going to do?
