203 Unfinished Business

One minute, I was asking Dakota to take care of my father, and then the next minute, I was walking in the field by the waterfall. It was springtime and the wildflowers were in bloom, and the grass was tall. The leaves were green on the trees and the sun was shining, but it wasn't too hot. It was perfect. 

Usually, when I had a dream similar to this, I was in my wolf form, running beside Dakota. This time, I was in my human form, wearing a long, flowing gown.

But this time, it wasn't a dream.

In the distance, someone was walking toward me across the field... a woman, also wearing a long, flowing gown. When she got closer, I knew exactly who it was. 

"Mom!" I yelled, running toward her, my hands brushing the tops of the flowers and tall grass. 

She caught me in her arms, and her warmth and love enveloped me. "My darling girl," she cooed as she held me.
