71 Unexpected, Part 2

"Okay, you two," Mr. Wilson said, climbing down from the ladder. "Dakota, get to class. Jessica, go ahead and wait outside." He looked at his teaching table and sighed. "Give me a chance to get everything ready before class begins."

In the hallway, I gave Dakota a quick peck on the lips. "See you later?"

One side of his lips curled into a sexy smile. "You can count on it." Then he and Micah headed off.

Michelle saw us coming out. "What's going on?" she whispered.

I looked both ways, but there were too many people right there. "Come here." Then I pulled her to a little alcove just down the hallway. "You have to swear not to tell anyone."

And that was all I needed to say. Michelle always loves a secret. "I won't. I promise."

I nodded, and then told her everything.

Just then, the second bell rang. 

"Ms. Chavez, Ms. Taylor," Mr. Wilson said, holding the door open as if nothing were amiss. "Coming to class?"
