167 The Journey Has Just Begun

The moon was nearly full, and I knew the werewolves that were in the area were coming. But I was still having a hard time coming to grips with the number of supernatural creatures that were at the meeting... and what was coming for us. 

"Are you okay?" Dakota asked, pulling me into his arms when we had a few moments alone.

I nodded, looking into his eyes. "You?"

"I'm fine," he said, letting out a deep breath. "Btu I have to tell you: In all my years on earth, I've never see anything like that before." 

"None of us have." I sighed. "I just can't believe that there were so many supernatural creatures there," I said, shaking my head. "The shifters must live among us and we never realized it."

"Crystal knew Zisaria and never knew she was a snake-shifter… or a demon." Dakota shrugged. "The world is not as it seems."

"Obviously." I sighed, laying my head on his chest. "Life was a lot simpler when it was just humans."
