102 The Future, Part 1

"Where did she come from?" I demanded, unable to help myself. 

"Take deep breaths and calm down." Dakota smirked as he drove the car away from the school.

"Don't you dare tell me to calm down! and stop laughing!" But I knew I had to calm down. If I exploded into my wolf here, I would either obliterate his truck, or kill me or Dakota. And even though I was furious with Dakota right now, I wouldn't want to see him dead. 

As I looked out at the snow-covered scenery passing by, I tried to think happy thoughts, concentrating on taking slow, deep breaths as I watched the snow-covered land and trees pass by.

"So, what do you want for Christmas?" Dakota asked, out of the blue. 

"What?" my head snapped up, unable to believe that he had just asked me that. 

He shrugged. "I just thought it would distract you, take your mind off... things."

When I was calm, I turned to face him. "Who is she?"
