93 Not Really the End

The fire blazed in my backyard, even though there was a foot of snow on the ground. Only shifters could be just as comfortable celebrating outside in the snow as at the beach in the dead of summer.

"You know, it feels nice being able to relax and not have to worry about being attacked by werewolves," Micah said, reaching over to hold Michelle's hand. "Thank you for that."

"Hey, it wasn't me," Michelle corrected. "The Great Spirit is the one who gave all of us the cure."

Micah nodded. "But you helped."

"Well, enough werewolf talk tonight." Dylan looked over at Candy, his date, as he loaded a hot dog on a skewer. "I'm hungry. Let's eat!"

Candy nudged his shoulder, laughing. "You're always hungry."

Dylan shrugged. "That's beside the point."

Candy laughed, looking around the bonfire. "So, you're kidding, right? There's no way that werewolves are real." It wasn't a question. But the way she said it, she wanted to know.
