30 Far from Over, Part 1

At the risk of getting caught in a lie, I told my father that I was spending the weekend at Michelle's house. She was in such bad shape that there was no way I could bring her back to my house without my father asking too many questions. Hard telling what he would do if he found out that Michelle was a werewolf... and I definitely didn't want to find out.

After grabbing Michelle's things from my bedroom, and packing a backpack for myself, I headed out before my father caught on that something was going on. Dakota, Michelle, and Micah were waiting for me in Micah's truck when I came out. I was just glad that my father didn't decide to come outside about that time. I ran quickly to the truck, slipped our things in the back, and slid into the seat beside Micah, who was still holding Michelle. Dakota quickly slid in after me and slammed the door. Then he threw the truck into gear and we were on the road a few minutes later.

"I'm so cold," Michelle said, shaking uncontrollably.
