"Let's go inside," Gillespie said, bending down to gently stroke my fur. "Let's get you settled in."

I shook my massive head, still in my wolf form. "I can't stay," I said in my mind. And like Michael, she heard. 

The Fae Queen sighed. "I know you can't stay forever, but as the chosen one, you have a few things to learn."

"And how long will I be here?"

She gave me a kind smile. "As long as it takes."

"That could be forever." I sighed and laid my head back down onto my massive paws. 

"So, are you just going to lay there and do nothing while your friends take all of the risks?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

I sighed. "I guess not."

Gillespie chuckled. "Fear not. Time passes differently here than it does in the human world."

"What?" My head snapped up, my ears perked. 

Gillespie laughed. "Dear child, you're now in the World of the Fae. Time has no meaning here."
