1 1. First Things First
All I could see was the hard, stone walls of the den. Litter mates side by side, I was a bit away from the mountain of pups. A large female wolf with a light blue pelt, and black feathered wings, had entered the small cramped space. 'Oh god.. I am- I am a wolf, aren't I?' I thought, the wolf that was soon to be found as mother picked me up, carrying me to the mountain of siblings. I was placed on the top, looking down at the pups holding me up, I looked around thinking 'I am now king of the pups~!' By accident crushing a little one's head by my weight. I soon wiggled my way off the pile, going over to mother. She laid down, 'I am not- I am not- I am not drinking milk from a wolf!!' My stomach grumbles, but I still refused to eat. A large *ping* came from in front of me, letters a bit hard to read due to the brightness. My eyes soon adjusted;

4 Months Later...

I ran around a bit, mother once again entering the den, "Mother!!" I shouted. Her head turned towards me, pacing over, "Yes daughter?"
"When are we allowed out there??" I asked pointing towards the den's entrance, mother quickly replied. "In a few days sweety."She said smiling at me, I nuzzled her, soon going back to the mountain of pups, I climbed up to the top, curling into a ball.

3 Days Later... —————————————————————
I yawned, tumbling off pup mountain. I shook heading towards mother, sleeping in the corner. "Mom! Mom!" I yelled in her rather fluffy audit, she gave a low growl, 'I know she likes her beauty rest, but she said we could go outside today..' I decided to bite her tail to wake her up, let's just say she wasn't too happy about that.. a while later we followed mother outside, to a tall, big rock. "Stay here pups." We all nodded, I was busy chasing my tail, not noticing a tall, muscular, sire walking to the top of it. He peered down at us, mother had been standing next to him, but he still seemed a bit scary. "Pups, today you will be given your names." He said in a deep, scary voice, me and a few others winced. After a while I was the last one to be named.. my blue and orange pelt rose, I was a bit scared. "Aqua-Ocean." He barked roughly, the sire was soon recognized as Father. He had a black and orange pelt, two devil horns, and a spiky tail. I was still scared of him, but not as much since he was Father. A few pups had already run off by the time he was done speaking, I overheard Father, "Only some will love, because I won't raise weak runts, only the strong offspring." I now knew that I had to be stronger or he would abandon me, so I ran off, trying to find a way to be stronger than everyone else. But it would be hard, that's for sure. Soon I began to want to check my quests and stats, so I began to check them.—————————————————————

I looked at the options, instantly looking at 'Strong-Legs' than I thought 'Details' as a new screen popped up. —————————————————————

'Yay!' I thought, 'Now I am strong so Father won't abandon me!' I smiled a bit, a while later Father and Mother called us back to the rock, I had a feeling the weak would soon be picked out, and I was right. A nasty look was on Fathers face, a quite sad one on Mother. "Today some of you will be.. uh.. no longer here." Father announced, all of us heard it loud and clear. Mother added, "Well.. I'm going to miss whoever is going to be.. picked out.." she sighed, a small tear was being formed in her hue. I glanced at the pups around me, knowing that I wouldn't be chosen. I had a rather confident look, Mother and Father had noticed it but not paid much attention to it, Father called us to talk one by one, Mother crying a lot now. I saw a few pups that went over, they hadn't come back. And I had a feeling they would never be part of pup mountain again. I was called up next, Father glared at me, I glared back showing that I respected Father, but I also showed him a look that I shouldn't be messed with. "Go to your Mother, your going to wait with her while I decide." I paced over to her, sitting in front of her with my head high, Father staring at the sky in the background. She licked my head, murmuring that everything would be fine. A bit later Father called me back over, once again with my head high, I sat ahead of him, "Go to the den while I decide what to do with the runts who didn't make it through, whoever in there is who passed with you." I nodded, running over and into the den, only 4 other pups we're in there, out of a litter of 12 pups. Their heads turned to me as I pranced in, I sat next to them. The first one was Grey-Shadow, the second Purple-Luna, third Orca-Iron, and lastly, Axel-Roar. I sighed, as not many of us had made it out of the picking. I decided to follow up on a new quest. 'Quests' I said in my head. *Ping!* —————————————————————

I knew straight away that the rabbit was going to be my first quest, then the rock. 'Then I'll collect them at the same time.' I yipped, running outside. A few new prey scents, one was for sure a rabbit but I couldn't identify the others. I decided to follow the rabbit trail, after a while it ended up splitting in two directions. I followed the path that had cut off the original one, a small yelp left my maw, I soon blacked out.
