10 80,000 Peasants

Rinko had made the mistake of mentioning to the young king how his faction needed more loyal troops serving them since currently, the Sei faction was still the weakest in the power struggle for the throne! Sei despite having the right to the throne didn't guarantee his safety, many kingdoms had their sights on Qin, and sadly even within the kingdom factions were setting their sights on the throne and were plotting on taking it for themselves or replacing Sei with a puppet that would be easy to control.

Sei having taken his words seriously soon had him standing in front of an army of 80,000 peasants! with a worthless piece of paper in his hands with Sei seal on it claiming he had a right to raise an army, he was now in charge of training in secret these 80,000 peasants! it was a serious crime for a commander to raise an army! with the Sei faction being the weakest at the moment their enemies could delay the raising of an army for months with endless debates!

If the other factions caught him Rinko didn't doubt that they would use this to have his family executed! they would jump on any excuse to weaken the sei faction. Rinko not taking any chances only allowed family members from the Sei faction to help train the troops, Rinko led a small army of 100-man commanders used to help train soldiers, they went about teaching 80,000 peasants how to be soldiers!

Thankfully Sei was king and his personal wealth was massive! he could move coins around easily enough but not supplies, if he attempted to move around large amounts of food the other factions would quickly learn of it! they had spies all over. Instead of using supplies located within Qin, they used a middle man or in this case a middle woman!

The mountain tribe people were more than eager to help them purchase large amounts of grain and food in secret, of course for a fee, the fierce mountain tribe queen was in need of wealth to help support her conquests, and she was glad to help the young king.

Next, in secret Sei managed to arrange for 80,000 peasants to be brought into the mountains to be trained in secret! the Queen was once again more than happy to allow this as coins flowed through her hands!

Rinko stood atop a large hill observing the troops train down below, it has been a few months of training for the troops now and Rinko was pleased with the progress of the troops. As he stood watching the men train a chuckle could be heard behind himself. Turning he saw Ouki standing there covered in bandages. Despite Ouki using himself to shake off his cobwebs he still was glad that the old general had come out of retirement to help train the troops, thanks to the efforts of Ouki the peasants down below had become well-trained soldiers. Ouki having trained soldiers for years barely batted an eye when he saw the 80,000 men upon arriving. Rinko quickly stuck to the old general and observed everything he did in order to learn as much as he could, perhaps he had stuck too close, now the old General had recovered a great deal from his wounds and was eager to train, Rinko was always near was the perfect opponent.

Qin troops stationed at the Chu border were enjoying this period of peace and had become lax in their post and were left unprepared as a large Chu force upon them! fort Nanko quickly fell. Next, Chu advanced deep into Qin ignoring many cities! The Chu army was about to march into the center of Qin without a fight before General MouBu could stop them but thanks to the efforts of Ouki General Tou leading 5,000 troops against the Chu vanguard force of 50,000 managed to stall the Chu long enough for MouBu to catch up.

Shin having received orders while in Sanyou rushed to support Moubu, he didn't get far before running into a force of 100,000 thousand Wei troops! Wei attacked the city of Saki and then advanced deep into Qin! Shin arrived late at Saki and was greeted by the sight of piles of dead women and children!

Bayou City was holding strong, the troops battling atop the walls were expecting any day now for qin reinforcements to arrive.

"RIGHT NOW, AT THIS VERY MOMENT, ALL OVER OUR LANDS! TENS OF MILLIONS OF OUR PEOPLE'S LIVES ARE ABOUT TO BE SNUFFED OUT!!!" said Sei looking at the various officials!

"THE ONLY PEOPLE IN THE ENTIRE STATE WHO KNOW OF WHAT IS GOING ON ARE STANDING IN THIS ROOM!"

"WE ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO ARE IN A POSITION TO O SOMETHING ABOUT THIS CRISIS!

Duke Hyou now having friendly troops positioned to his right, ordered one of his commanders to break off and attack the Wei troops located between the two Qin forces. Using hit-and-run tactics, for days Duke Hyou and Shin stalled the Wei troop's advance.

(Rinko)

Riding behind Ouki, Rinko led the 80,000 troops towards Kanyou, surrounded by mountains Kanyou was the perfect place to defend against a larger army. Qins National Gate at Kankoku Pass needed to hold at all costs! if Kankoku pass was breached his family would be at the mercy of the invading coalition army! picturing his adorable daughter being butchered and humiliated by invading bastards infuriated him! Rinko quickly urged his horse to ride faster and faster, Ouki eventually had to calm him down, there is no point if he arrived at KanKoku pass without the army.
