1 Gregory Potter

"Congratulations to all that have finished this school year safe and sound. Completing your 7th Year is of course the final step of education here at Gringordon School of Wizardry. Make your way in to the wizarding well and make your families proud!"

Applause erupted throughout the great hall. This was Gringordon. A public school for the not so magically gifted. Tales of past always mentioned the three great Wizarding schools for those with exceptional wizarding talent, but of course not everyone can start of on a path of greatness.

One child entered the school 7 years ago, leading people to raise their eyes in shock and humour after seeing his surname. POTTER. Not another one many thought. Why was he here and not in the great schools, many pondered. For Gregory, it was obvious. He never had the talent that his cousins had. In fact it was only in his 5th year that he actually discovered how to enforce the mana in his body to circulate. Wands never entertained him as to him it was just a way to cheat progress and boost his mana. This had become accepted in the general world, but for him he wanted to do everything the traditional way and only take up a wand after learning to control the element himself.

"Like the school cares about what we do once we're gone. All they really cared about was how well we did on those exams. Nothing even happened at our school and all the good stuff seems to happen at that uptight Hogwarts."

Luke squirmed out.

Luke is Gregory's best mate. Often called a marshmallow in regards to his weight, he is often quite soft in general.

"Yeah well we had a plan so lets stick to it. My dad saved about 30 Gold Galleons before heading of to help the Loven Empire win back parts of Scotland. We can buy some new wands and set out on joining one of the Human empires."

Gregory was just about to continue on before Luke cut in;

"I always forget the empires. There are so many of them and they don't talk much about them outside of modern studies."

"Well let me give you a quick history lesson then shall I? Each race is antsy as hell cause old man Voldemort decided to kick the bucket. So where the Humans used to control Earth as a whole, the Spiders are attempting to control the underground with the rest of the magical beasts. They are built up with quite a few empires but it's so hard to remember them all! Next up is the Orcs and Trolls who are experimenting with transfiguration potions to disguise themselves as humans in the modern world. So far they completely control Asia and Russia. The last noticeable power is the Humans but there is a lot of infighting at the moment. The three main empires are the Loven, Kolt and Union. Right now Lovel is attacking Scotland which houses some minor powers."

"Yawnnn—"

Before Luke could finish his sarcastic yawn he was clipped round the head by Gregory. He stared at him and both of them began to laugh out loud. Things hadn't always been this calm. After Harry went off the face of the earth four years ago, everything got a lot more hectic as if the one thing keeping them at bay had now disappeared.

Both of them picked their stuff up and proceeded out of the hall. They said their goodbyes to each other as they both took their separate ways. A massive war here, a government turn over there. The world was crazy, but that wouldn't stop Gregory.

He paced to the wand shop in a small village next to the school. After promptly opening the door and walking inside, the clerk gave him a snide look before she continued to read "Steaming Hot Wizard" magazine. Gregory looked quite normal. He had a few ripples on his muscles that were cleverly hidden under his robe, which stopped just before his neck. On his head he had silver hair that flowed freely as it strode from eye to eye.

He promptly walked over to the display case before examining all the wands. They all looked vastly different and each one had a label next to it, all with the size and three different words on each.

13"

Willow

Unicorn Hair.

This was a light wand that looked like it might be worth picking up, but looking at the price, 9 galleons was quite expensive. But one did catch Gregory's attention.

13 ¾"

Acacia

Dragon heartstring.

It radiated with magic without any interaction. It was clearly a superb and strong wand, which would take a wilful owner to fully tame. Gregory picked it up in instinct before checking out the price.

"What in the fuc—" before he could finish his sentence, he forced himself to stop and caught a glimpse at the clerk scowling at him. He burrowed his head and searched for his cash. He took out 14 Galleons before taking it to the clerk and shoving the money on the counter. He instantly rushed for the door and continued even after the clerk tried calling him back.

"Is he insane? To take an Acacia AND Dragon heartstring combo? Absolutely crazy."

The clerk muttered to herself, before showing a slight expression of regret to that complete stranger.

"He was kinda cute too"

She pouted before going back to her book.

If Gregory headed back to his school now, he would certainly not be allowed back in. The Acacia Dragon Heartstring combo was strictly a wand for war. It was known for its heavy power and unforgiving backlash. It was once the wand of great emperors of past, but many refused to use after the cost of power was revealed to be too much. Once healthy, young emperors aged tremendously to cast spells that should not of been humanly possible.

One famous wizard was Moses, who wielded such a wand. He used it to split the whole Red sea, leading to a tremendous backlash. The wand is generally known as World Bender because of this and due to the lack of Acacia, the only ones in the world will be the only ones to ever exist. Why was such a wand in such a remote store? Only time will tell.
