Mission Ended

As they entered the Silent Forest, they realized why it was called that way. There was no sound of birds chirping or any other sign of life. This gave them a bad feeling. But Xu Xiaoyan and Sun Qingyi slowly started exploring the area and found a little girl named Xiao Si.

After finding her, a mission was triggered. That's when they learned how deep Anping's planning was for the Miracle System. The mission was to protect Xiao Si and send her home. And the enemy was the hundred-year-old wife of Poseidon. With their cultivation sealed in this Dream World, it took a lot of effort to defeat Xiao Wu, but they managed to do it with the help of Xu Xiaoyan's martial spirit at night.

After saving her, they sent Xiao Si to her grandmother. As soon as they did that, the system interface popped up in front of them. It showed the level settlement, which included how many monsters they defeated, how many points they obtained, and the completion of the task and additional rewards. In addition to task completion they spent 20 days in this Dream World which is only two hours outside world. These Twenty days improved Xu Xiaoyan and Sun Qingyi relationship to extreme.

Sun Qingyi and Xu Xiaoyan were overjoyed when they saw the extra reward, because it was something from the real world, and according to its introduction, it was a new product of the Soul Guidance Science Academy. Although it was not something that enhanced their strength, it was a very practical prop. They had wanted to get two pieces of it when they met at the Soul Guidance Academy before, but the staff had refused and said that they had special effects. Only then did they realize that these effects were used as level rewards.

Then they clicked the completion option. After that, three new options appeared on the interface: save the progress and exit, continue to the next level, or re-challenge the final boss of the level. They checked the actual time on the interface and saw that it was already dinner time, so they chose to save the progress and exit.

After leaving the dream world, they did not go directly to dinner, but instead went to the residence of Anping and Gu Yuena. When they opened the door, they saw Sun Qingyi holding Xu Xiaoyan's hand. Xu Xiaoyan's face was a little red, like a shy bride.

Gu Yuena laughed out loud when she saw Xu Xiaoyan's reaction. She teased her, "Only you know if you're innocent or not. I was just asking why you came here. Don't get so worked up."

Xu Xiaoyan glared at Gu Yuena and complained, "Sister Nana, we've known each other for so long. You don't have to help me, but you don't have to make fun of me either. That's too much."

Gu Yuena continued to tease her, "How do you want me to help you? Do you want me to transfer Qingyi out of the City of Miracles?"

Xu Xiaoyan gave Anping a dirty look and lowered her head without saying anything. Sun Qingyi, on the other hand, nodded confidently and said, "Yes, we're together."

Xu Xiaoyan gave up when she heard Sun Qingyi admit it in front of Anping. She said, "Fine, fine, we're together, okay?"

Anping didn't understand what the problem was. They should be happy to be together. He shrugged and said, "I didn't say anything. Just enjoy yourselves. Come on, you haven't eaten yet. Let's have dinner together."

Anping used his mental power to levitate the food and set it on the dining table, inviting them to eat. He and Gu Yuena didn't really need to eat regularly; it was more of a habit than a necessity.

As they all sat down, Anping said, "Xiaoyan, I have no issue with who you choose to be with. It's fine by me if you two are together. But have you talked to your parents and brothers about this?"

Xu Xiaoyan and Sun Qingyi exchanged a startled look. They hadn't thought about that. Everything had happened so fast, and they hadn't had a chance to consult their families.

Sun Qingyi felt more anxious than Xu Xiaoyan. She wasn't afraid of Anping and Gu Yuena, but she knew that Xu Xiaoyan had an older brother to support her, while she was the only child in her generation.

She turned to Anping and Gu Yuena with a hopeful expression and said, "City Lord, Deputy City Lord, you know the situation in my family. Could you please help me talk to them?"

Xu Xiaoyan gave her a sideways glance and snapped, "I don't care what they say. My brother will always be on my side. If you were so worried about this, why did you have to seduce me?"

Sun Qingyi met her gaze and said, "I don't care if the city lord or deputy city lord help us or not. I want to be with you no matter what. We're not alone in this world. The worst that can happen is that my dad will have to find another wife."
