1 Prologue

[Passengers are required to stay calm and please follow the demonstration on how to use the life jacket...]

The captain was, again and again, trying to keep us calm but how could one stay calm when the plane has landed on water?

Everything was fine before one hour but suddenly the flight shook and the left engine blasted with a deafening sound and to our horror it caught fire.

Thick black smoke was erupting from it but fortunately, the plane landed on water.

The engines were on fire, we had only 30 minutes before this whole plane catches fire.

All the crew members had opened the emergency exit door so that passengers could jump down in the water.

BOOM!

The right engine of the plane also blasted, after looking at this the crew members who were helping us quickly abandoned the passengers and jumped off the flight.

Only 20 minutes are left how the fuck all the people are going to get out safely?

"Emma no matter what we will get out safely just be careful and let's pick up our life jacket"

She nodded in reply.

Emma Snow my beloved who is soon going to become my wife, she is the only one whom I have given my heart, soul and everything, even our family is happy with our relationship. We decided to get married in Venusville where we first met.

"L-Leo come on fast we don't have much time" her voice was trembling, this was the first time I have seen her scared, else every time she used to confident and fearless.

I stood up and Emma after rechecking her life jacket also stood up.

Suddenly I felt an ominous feeling in my heart like something bad is going to happen. Whatever, I pushed these feelings aside and went ahead.

BOOOM!

The right engine of the plane caught fire and the plane shook violently, this caused me to lose my balance and my body fell towards the broken passenger seats.

As pouring oil to the fire, while I was falling the sharp handle of the broken seat tore my life jacket into half and I fell near the burning engine, the broken handle pierced into my body.

"LEO!"

I heard Emma's shriek when I fell, the fire behind me was too huge, the windows were cracking and seats were burning. Between us, there were only a few broken pieces of seats and thrown away pieces of luggage were there.

I could see the huge flames devouring the right side of the plane, this fire was much larger than the left side. Anyways there were chances of me getting rescued if Emma helps me.

"Ugh.."

My hands were trembling as the broken handle went deep inside my left abdomen. I needed someone to pull me out, my whole body was caged here.

I looked up and saw Emma standing and she was holding the handle of the seat for support, her face was pale.

"Hey baby don't worry I'll not die this soon, now come here slowly and pull me up"

She slowly composed herself, she took in few deep breaths and saw me again before saying, "I can't it's too dangerous, the fire is coming in this direction"

"No it is not, even if you pull me up quickly I could come out, there is the time! You have the life jacket you can jump safely please don't panic and think logically"

It was hard for me to talk since I was losing a lot of blood and my vision was getting blurry.

"No, I can't it's very dangerous even if I pull you out I don't think I can support your body till the exit, half of the plane has caught fire only one exit is available and if I don't get out of here right now, this exit will also get burnt down and yes I'm thinking logically" her reply was determined and she put emphasis on the word 'logically'

I stared at her in shock even the pain in my body seems to be less than the shock given by her. Emma then took one step ahead but the distance between us was very huge.

I could feel the smoke filling inside my lungs.

"Leo don't worry I'll train your sister to succeed you in the company and I'll take care of your parents so don't worry about that and-"

"You know it you can save me then why?!" I cut off her useless speech.

"I Love you Leonard Salvatore" she gave me a bitter smile and turned around, her back vanished among the thick suffocating smoke.

Tears welled up in my eyes.

'So this is how it feels to cry huh'

I started to laugh at my situation while my body was growing numb and weak, even when I'm in front of the death's door I was still remembering those days which I spent with her.

By now she must have jumped off the plane and would have started to reach towards the port and here I'm in the middle of the fire, fighting for my life.

"When did things went wrong?"

'Yeah, things went wrong the moment I fell in love with you Emma Snow'

I remembered the night when I confessed my love to her. The shining moon, the beautiful flowers and the gentle breeze, they were the only witnesses of my first love.

I regretted all the wrongdoings I did, how I was a cold-blooded monster, how I destroyed many lives like killing a fly just for her.

I became a tyrant just for my woman.

'This is my punishment, my heart pains. It pains so much that I feel like I am going insane'

Thinking this as the last moment of my life I prayed to God that in next life he should give me a good life with good morals and true love. I slowly closed my eyes and left my fate in the hands of God.
