28 The Morave coup d'etat Part 1

Standing at the top of the stairs watching her family be targeted. Targeted by members of a family she was told she could trust. Watching in Angelica had not clue what to do as panic raced through her body as the ring of blades being drawn called from behind her. Turning around she saw two males standing there with blades aimed at her. Backing up, she couldn't move far before she found herself stopped by the railings as she watched the two men advance towards her. As panic continued to race through her mind she tried to figure out what it was that she could do to defend herself.

One of the men lunged right at her before almost as swiftly he had began making his movements he found himself laying on the ground blood staining the floor beneath him soon after. Watching in horror Angelica looked to see who had struck the man down, but before her eyes could land on the culprit the other was cut down just as swiftly his head rolling on the ground just next to his body.

"Now whoever thought this entire escapade was a grand idea. Will surely become some grade A vampire jerky." The think roman accent of a woman spoke softly as her footsteps were now audible to the girl as she stood there next to her handy work. "Hello dear Angelica I hope those ex-members of my family didn't scare you too much, fear is unbecoming of your beauty." the woman said smiling softly.

Looking back over the railing down to the first floor she watched in horror as the entire room had turned into a battle ground. Julius and his sister..and surprisingly members of her own clan were fighting, holding their ground.

"Those who want to uphold what makes the Morave family great you will fight like your lives depend on it and Those of the Xeres if you truly want to belong in our fold you will assist in helping us defend our home!" The woman roared out in a loud powerful tone.

"We are working on that one mother!" Julius roared back loudly his voice full of rage. "No one let this family fall apart because of some spiteful dipshits!"

The crowd that was on the side of Julius roared out in acknowledgment as they all began to put their all into the fight.

Feeling a hand on her shoulder Angelica jumped as she looked at the woman. Having not actually taken a good look of her gave her a quick once over. She wore a tight black combat get up. With a white button up shirt under the tight corset and leather pants she chose to wear. She had waist long blonde hair that fell just below her hips. Although she looked young her eyes held age to them that showed just who she was.

"We need to get you to safety dear" She spoke softly. Before hurriedly dragging her away down the hall too the left of the upper landing. Looking around as she followed the woman she looked back and noticed that they were being followed. And not just by any other Morave family member. They were being followed by Ryzen himself. Although he was covered in his fair share of injuries he was quickly gaining on the two as they ran towards the end of the hall.

A chill ran through Angelica's spine as the thought of the worst possible outcome clawed it's way into her mind. If Ryzen had made his way up here..it had to have meant that Julius was dead.

Shaking her head she denied that thought as she focused on running with his mother. "Ryzen is catching up too us!" Angelica spoke loud enough for the woman before her to hear.

"Of course the traitorous swine is gunning for the elder vampires..he is the only one of a few who can handle multiple of us in a back to back setting.." The woman said before swinging out her hands as the door they were reaching quickly flew open almost off of their hinges from the force of it as they ran in before the woman closed the door making sigils in the air before applying some kind of rushed seal upon it.

Looking around Angelica noticed a long table in the middle of the room. And a case full of, from what she could guess was blood. Panic continued to race through her mind as loud slams against the door rang out through the room as Ryzen made quick work trying to get into the room.

"If Ryzen is after us...then doesn't that mean that Julius and Mila are dead..?" Angelica voiced the thought that had been eating at her for what felt like forever. The woman with her blade drawn gave Angelica a saddened, yet hopeful look. As if to silently say that there was a chance of the two being alive.

"Angelica, you need to find a place in this room to hide, there isn't much I can do with you out in the open." She said giving her a strained smile. "I will kill Ryzen and any who make their way through that door but I cannot do it with you out in the open."

Nodding Angelic began to quickly look for a place to hide deep within the room but not before stopping and looking at the woman. Taking a deep breath and a moment to steady her mind.

"Please make sure that you survive this battle..I would love to be able to call you mother in the near future" Angelica said before continuing off and hiding in the bottom of the blood coolers main cabinet where she somehow managed to fit. Sitting in the darkness all she could do was listen as the banging became more prominent and much more violent as the wood of the door began to cry out and break from the pressure being put upon it.
