4 Chapter 4; Enraged

Waking up, Darkness still prevalent outside, Felicia couldn't help but wonder if everything that happened was a dream, But reality was cruel, and it wasn't a dream but something she was stuck with for life, well until alexander deemed she wasn't of any use anymore just to end up divorcing her.

Waking up she decided to get their lives going she would at least prepare breakfast for the both of them. Walking out of her bedroom to the staircase she had come up last night, she made her way down, in search for the kitchen. Running into a set of people, she seemed taken back. There wasn't anyone in the house yesterday when they had come in. perhaps the maids only worked a certain amount of time.

"Good morning madam" a few greeted her, as though recognizing her at first glance.

Slightly flustered, she nodded. This was something she felt she would need to get used to. Looking at all their faces she slapped on a smile trying to ease their discomfort.

"Where is the kitchen?" she asked carefully.

Their eyes looked at her in surprise, they were not used to seeing anyone look for the kitchen in the masters house, and that too the masters wife was someone looking for a place such as a kitchen?

"May I ask why, madam?" one of them had questioned, hoping they were not offending her by questioning her whereabouts.

"I just want to prepare breakfast before Alexander wakes up," She replied unoffended by the question.

Everyone seemed to freeze in their spots. Felicia seeming confused by their sudden reactions. Was it taboo to prepare breakfast in this house? Alexander had not mentioned such a thing when they had come home yesterday. Now, looking at everyone's reaction, she suddenly felt uncertain as though stepping over her boundaries.

"Am I not allowed to?" she questioned slowly.

"N-no, it's not like that madam. It's just, uh...umm... master likes things done in a certain way, especially what he eats." Another one of the maids spoke up in fear of her reaction.

Felicia seemed confused by their scared reactions. She couldn't understand whether it was because she was the madam of the house or if this was a normal reaction when faced with anyone with higher rank in the house.

"Why don't we tell the kitchen staff to prepare his breakfast then you can go call the master to come down and eat?" someone had spoken up, giving an idea that seemed to ease the tension.

Nodding, Felicia agreed with the idea.

"Okay, I'll sit here until the food is done." She smiled as everyone went back to what they were doing.

Pulling out her phone, Felicia couldn't help but sigh. Not even a congratulatory message from her 'family'. She couldn't express how upset it made her feel. Here she was, a living sacrifice, and they didn't even care if she was living okay and settled in. how inhumane can they get.

She couldn't help but let her mind wander to her own parents. If she had known they would have left her she would have cherished them more and given them all of her time. she couldn't help but realize the value of having parents until they were no longer there for her to value. Holding back the lump that formed in her throat she let out a sigh. Oh, how she missed them.

Grabbing the remote on the table she had called out to one of the maids to help her switch on the television, to keep her occupied while she waited for everything to be prepared. Time had passed by as the sun began to rise, her mind fully concentrated on the drama she had started.

"Madam?" someone called out to her grabbing her attention.

Pausing what she was so engrossed in, Felicia turned around to see the maid that had given the idea of waiting for the food to be prepared.

"The food is done, if you want you can wake the master up." She suggested.

Nodding, Felicia stood up stretching heading up the stairs, towards where Alexander had showed her where the rooms were. Sighing she suddenly remembered his words last night. 'you are not allowed anywhere near my bedroom.' His seriousness remediate in his tone.

Stopping in her tracks she contemplated with herself. She didn't know whether to go or not. Standing in the hallway for a good two minutes, Sighing she finally came to a decision . 'I'll just knock a few time', she brought her self to move. she took a step forward towards his room. Her heart pounded in her chest.

Standing in front of his door, she took a deep breath ready to knock. Knocking an the door, no answer came through. Waiting a moment before picking up her hand to knock, a painful moan rang through her ears.

"Alexander?" she called out as no answer came through, knocking not a word came to her ears in a reply but rather a painful moan had echoed in her ears.

'Was he okay?' she thought to herself.

A few seconds passed by as his moans grew louder and sounded more painful. Not knowing what to do she pushed the door open and walked in. his curtains still drawn his room dark.

She walked closer to his four poster bed, seeing him laid down on his bed under the sheets, sweat dripping down his forehead. Panicked surged through Felicia as his pale face came to sight.

"Alexander?" She called out as she placed a hand on his forehead.

There was no sign of a fever. Was he having a nightmare? Sighing in relief she tried shaking him awake.

"Alexander, it's time to wake up." She called out to him.

"Natalia…" he voiced out weakly.

Natalia? Who was Natalia?

Just as she pulled back Alexander gripped on her hand in a tight grip, desperately holding something or more someone.

"Natalia" he croaked out yet again and Felicia couldn't help but feel a tiny pang in her heart. Who was this woman whom he was calling out so desperately?

Just as she tried pulling her hand away, Alexander's eyes snapped open and locked with Felicia's auburn brown eyes. Felicia's eyes widened as she tried pulling away only for Alexander to grip her hand tighter. The color in her hand losing color.

"What are you doping here?"

She froze as his voice sounded in her ears. He sounded… cold? No that wasn't it, he sounded enraged.
