1 01. They dare?

''She is so cute!'' A man in white looked at the tiny girl that calmly was looking at the world that surrounded her and smiled brightly at her. ''Li Na, our cutie. It was worth it all. My love, let's take her home.''

A young woman appeared in front of her eyes and then two soft hands picked her tiny body up. Warmth enveloped her whole being. Strange, now inside it feels warm as well. So comfortable.

Li Na, born by Li Mingli and Yang Lanfen. When she was born she suddenly caught a strange disease and survived it miraculously. But what they didn't know is that she actually was a reincarnated soul.

''It's a girl?'' A strange female voice yelled nearby making Li Na's ears fell hurt.

A small cry could be heard from the crib and right after that, a loud cry filled the room, making the person step back as both parents rushed to calm the child down.

Li Mingli turned his eyes and smiled coldly making the woman step back again.

''Isn't this what you wanted? Your precious son can inherit the company then. It is not important to me . As long he doesn't try to sell it to someone I will keep quiet. But if he tries to destroy or sell father's company, I will clean him up and let Li Na inherit everything. Don't think I will not do that. This is after all the 21st century, not the old times where females had no right to speak. Why can't a female take over? He better prove himself.'' He turned around his head and didn't see a dangerous glint appearing in her eyes.

With a huff, she turned around and walked out of the big house. Before sitting into her expensive car she looked at the house one more time and an evil smile enveloped her face.

''Let's see what you can do? It's almost over anyway. You will not be able to stop it now.''

Two days later huge news destroyed many families, including Li Na's. Her father was the CEO of a big baby food company. Tax investigators rose doubt about him and found many strange uncertainties in his documents. In the end, he was sentenced to go to jail for ten years, while his halfbrother Li Chen became the new CEO of that famous baby food brand.

In front of the world, he said he is sorry for his brother's wrongdoings while on the other hand, he was trying to get Yang Lanfen and Li Na out their own home. But Yang Lanfen was not a tiny stone to bite as he thought. So no matter what he tried it was impossible to take their assets. He set her up with many things and she successfully wiggled out. He was at a loss of what to do next.

''Mother, if we don't get into the main house my soul will never be calm. You were with father before that woman. Only because his family made him marry Bai Liling he had to give us up. It is time we finally take back what that family owns us. That woman is slippery as an eel. We must find something on her, anything...'' He sat down and held his head while his mother stood there and nibbled on her lips.

Suddenly she had a devious idea...

Weeks passed peacefully but Yang Lanfen didn't trust the peace. The quieter it was, the more worried she became. Strangely there were no more people bothering her and Li Na, so she enjoyed her time with her. But one phone call changed everything.

''Lanlan, I am back...'' A deep voice could be heard through the phone making Yang Lanfen giddy. Why is this person calling her? Didn't he say he gives up?

''Oh. Fine for you. Why are you calling me?'' She felt strange. There was no way he could have found her phone number out normally.

''I heard you missed me so I came to take you with me. I already told your husband once before you two married. If there is a situation that you will get in trouble because of him, I will take you back and never let you go again. Remember?'' His voice became dangerously sweet.

''Bai Lu, I am a married woman and I love my husband. Go to hell.'' She furiously slammed the phone and patted her chest as her heart raced.

''But Lanlan, I already told you. I will never let anyone harm you. No one ever.'' A hand came from behind and she escaped it in the last second. She rushed to the crib and picked up Li Na and tried to escape but two hands grabbed her and turned around.

''Li Na, you love her? Don't you? If you don't want to come with me, I understand, but do you think she can live a long time. Those people are trying to disgrace you by sending some dirty men to violate you and post pictures on the net. And who knows what they plan with the child.'' He calmly stepped back and crossed his arms showing her that he won't attack.

His eyes passed her body and coldly locked eyes with the child who had a calm expression. Yes. Too calm. This child will be troublesome later on, but he needs the child's help to go back home. For now, she can live. He knew that she had the power since she was born, because he was right there, but Lanfen didn't know that.

He promised her mother to protect Lanfen and so he did. But that man is a weakling. He couldn't even protect her from simple attacks, now she might die. Looking at the calm child's eyes he made a decision.

''They wouldn't dare...'' She didn't see the silent interaction between the baby and the man that was standing in front of her. How devious must these humans be? Isn't it enough? Her eyes shook as she saw few men entering, but they froze as they saw the man standing right next to her and backed up.
