First Kiss

Mollie turned around quickly to see who it was. She was scared. It could have been a complete stranger who wanted to take advantage of her. It could have been a sereal killer. It could have been a ghost... She knew she was thinking too much but when she turned around, she was flabbergasted! Why would he be here?

It was... Kyle? From her music class? Did he like her favourite artist too? She didn't think he would have the same taste and her. Maybe she was dreaming?

She stared into his eyes, waiting for an explanation for why he was holding onto her shoulder. No boy has ever physically contacted with her since she was in like preschool so this was a big shock to her that someone she knew for a few years was actually interested in the same music artist as her. He didn't seem like the type of person to like her same style. Or maybe he isn't and he just wanted to go to a random concert. She even thought that he could be a creep and followed her here instead. If she actually knew this thought was partly true, what happens later probably wouldn't have even happened at all...

And most importantly, she shouldn't be this close to a boy, let alone him holding her shoulder for a long time while they were, for some reason, staring into each others eyes.

Mollie was very nervous and confused about what was going on. They both forgot where they were and that it was extremely loud around them. They were totally oblivious of their surroundings. Both of their hearts were pounding so much that it was the only thing they could hear. If was as if they were the only things left in the entire universe.

Kyle eventually stopped holding Mollie's shoulder and dropped his arm, while keeping his eyes on hers. He started, 'I know I shouldn't be around you but I've lasted this long and I can't hold back anymore...' he took a deep breath and said wholeheartedly, 'I like you so much and always want to be near you because it makes my heart feel warm and comfortable, I don't know if this is love but it doesn't matter anyway as you can't have any relationship with me. I just felt I should have confessed this to you a long while back.'

'How long?' Mollie was curious and had light butterflies in her tummy. She had never felt this way when boys had confessed to her before.

'... A few years,' Kyle slowly said.

Mollie's eyes opened so wide that it looked as if her eyeballs could pop out any minute now. Normally boys would like her because of her looks so then they would eventually give up on trying to get with her and just admire her instead but it wouldn't be anywhere close to love. Whereas, Kyle has maybe loved her for a few years. How could this not surprise her? It even moved her. 'Wha... What, really? That long?' she was even more nervous now that she didn't even know if this was really happening or not.

'I'm sorry...' Kyle said hesitantly.

'What do you mean?' Mollie didn't understand these things. Like love. And marriage. And that he's too poor to marry into her family. 'Why would you be sorry?'

'Because... your parents are really strict with you and definitely wouldn't accept you to have feelings for me unless we were to marry in the future, although I know I am a poor and useless boy so I am no where near as good enough a man for you... That is why I am sorry.'

'But you're not useless at all, I love music and you are so good at the guitar and your voice is nice too. I'm sure if I were to ask my parents if I could marry you, they would most probably say yes.'

Kyle sighed, 'it doesn't work like that, you see, your family is wealthy and well-known while my family is a trash. There's no way your parents were to let me into your family.'

'Oh really, they aren't that bad.' Mollie looked happier than ever, 'I can ask them to meet you and they could hopefully get a good first impression of you, then your dad can meet my parents and arrange for us to marry when we are of the eligible age. Easy!'

Kyle didn't know whether to laugh or to cry... She hadn't a got a clue, did she?

Mollie didn't know why he wasn't replying so she stared at him with one eyebrow up as if looking at a weirdo.

He saw her gaze and smiled. He didn't know what came to him, he was suprised by it but he just couldn't help but ask, 'can I kiss you?'

Mollie was dumbfounded, if her dad were to hear these words coming from Kyle's mouth aimed at her, she didn't know whether her dad would restrain himself or not from strangling him. Although she thought this, she just nodded, for some reason, as if she couldn't even control her own body. She was slightly guilty but she couldn't help but nod. She had no idea why she was going to go against her parents after all these loyal years.

Kyle was even suprised by her nod. He was ready for the rejection, but as she had nodded, he wouldn't hold back as she had given him her consent. He slowly leaned forward and lightly caressed the back of her head with one hand and her lower back with the other hand and, gently placed his lips onto hers. She also leaned forward and deepened their kiss. Even though she had no experience with kissing, she was profoundly good at it.

All of their previous guilt had now completely vanished. His heart was tingling so much and his happiness made him think he was actually dreaming. He had wished for this kiss for many years. Her heart warmed up straight away and she felt so good being held by him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him in even more to the point where there was not even a single air molecule in the way of their bodies. She could feel his tender muscles and the warmth in his body enveloping around her. He could feel her smooth and perfect curves. Her soft and delicate body was willingly giving itself to him.

Right now, being with her, hugging her, made him know that he could never leave Mollie no matter what happens in the future. This was a promise he had made to himself from this day onwards. He loves her more than the whole world. He will never give her up!
