Together At Last

"No, I'm talking to Aunt Jenna and Uncle Jonas. That's why she's like that. They get to come home now, isn't that cool?" Eli asked happily but ultimately unfazed by the state his grandma was in. 

"What?! Give me the phone," Adam demanded. 

"But Daaaaaaad, I was talking to them!" 

"If they're really coming home, you'll have plenty of time to talk to them later. Hand it over."

Eli clearly did it reluctantly. "I have to go, you guys. Dad's being bossy."

Jenna was barely holding back somewhat hysterical giggles at this point. She was completely giddy. Adam, Adam, Adam! Jonas had to talk for her. "We'll call you back later, okay? Love you, buddy."

"Love you too!"

Adam took the phone then and spoke hesitantly. "…are you guys really able to come home?"
