10 Tinted World

Sorry readers. I've been completing my research paper, I didn't have enough time to eat properly, let alone write. The paper's finished now so I hope to get this story to 15,000 words by this weekend i.e 7 chapters or so. Please, enjoy the chapter.

--------------------------------------

"Law, don't you think this world is wrong? People like Doflamingo are parading about, have the license to plunder and kill just because they wish too. And he doesn't even have the status he once did. What if he did? Corazon was the exception among the Celestial Dragons. Once you've killed Doflamingo, what will you do? There will be another one. Hell, go to Sabaody Archipelago and you'll see many Doflamingos walking around dressed even more stupidly than he does".

"I don't care about the others, I just want to kill Doflamingo". Law stubbornly replied.

"Well that's fine. I won't stop you. But let me tell you, my path leads to the true meaning of the D clan. I know you want to know the truth as well. In the end, you'll come back for my help".

Law seemed to be lost in his thoughts for a few moments before finally deciding "I don't care about that now. I want Doflamingo to die. I'll figure out the rest after".

"Well, I'll certainly help you get stronger..." my voice cut out as my Observation Haki felt a certain Donquixote Doflamingo reach the island using his Line fruit abilities. Just as I planned.

"Law, hide now. Doflamingo's here".

"How did he find me? What should I do?" Law's face showed sheer panic and hatred. He's got a long way to go to become the levelheaded captain of the Heart pirates we met in Wano.

"You, hide in the closet in the house with Bepo. I'll take care of Doflamingo. My Echo fruit can throw off Observation Haki and any sounds you make and it'll seem like you're not here. You'll be fine".

"No, you'll die. It'll be the end of all your plans and everything. Take Bepo and leave".

"Then I'll make my end the noblest ending in history". I look toward the distance where the Heavenly Yaksha will soon be visible as Law hides quivering in the closet under my Observation Haki. I start walking towards Doflamingo. Surprisingly enough, he doesn't seem to be in a hurry either, as he saunters toward me under the view of my Obsevation Haki. It took me quite the effort to bring him here without suspicion, it's time to pull a Corazon 2.0 to get Law firmly on my team. I'm only 17 years old, so I can't show too much of my true skills, but it should be enough to resist Doflamingo until backup comes. Vice-Admiral Tsuru has been chasing after my man like a bulldog as the Warlords program should have passed initial procedures and will be fully up and running in a year and few months. Doflamingo has been eyeing a spot so she wants to catch him before he gets a chance to join which is ironic considering it's probably the World Government who's giving him some under-the-table help. They can't afford him getting caught since he knows their secret - the National Treasure of Mariejois.

I already called in for help before my conversation with Law started. Tsuru is nearby. I only have to last 20 minutes or a little less which should be possible under the power I can openly reveal. Doflamingo is only 29-30 right now and hasn't awakened his fruit though he should be close or right at the edge. Suddenly I feel a line attach to my hand through my Observation Haki as a yellow haired man saunters into view. It's showtime!

Without any further ado I started using Armament Haki to help detach the strings from my body while screaming "Heavenly Yaksha Donquixote Doflamingo! Surrender now to the marines"! I immediately followed with a right hook which Doflamingo parried all the while laughing with his signature weird laugh. Also the way he moves his fingers when he uses his fruit that look like he's playing air piano - so creepy.

"Tama-ito" multiple white bullets came towards me. Dodging to the left with Soru, I use Armament Haki on my fist as I punch towards him again. I don't know why people in this universe say the attack's name before actually attacking but since it helps me dodge who cares? Doflamingo replies with "Goshikito" as his face loses some of that smirk and he starts coating his strings in Armament Haki. I get a few cuts above my fist since I can't show that I can coat both my arms in Haki at once. Dodging a spinning kick from Doflamingo, I ask him "why are you after the kid"?

Surprisingly, he doesn't answer and uses another string combo on me. I definitely need to appear to have less stamina than him, so I slow down my pace of attacks while accumulating little cuts from his strings. Nothing too serious, just like paper cuts. We go back and forth like that for a while before Doflamingo suddenly cocks his head, and smiles before screaming out "Athle-ito" and kicking me with the mother of all kicks. I meet that attack with Haki-clad arms but still get pushed back nearly ten meters as Doflamingo shoots a thread in the air and says "next time you're dead". Fifteen seconds later marines arrive led by the Tsuru, as I pretend to lose consciousness, all the while focusing on Law who has emerged from his closet and is looking at me in the distance from the window of his "house".

--------------------NEXT DAY----------------------

The next day I "regain consciousness" in the infirmary. Soon, Vice-Admiral Tsuru walks in and questions me about Doflamingo's presence on the island, which I deflect by saying he was searching for an unknown boy. I trust Law has the intelligence to make himself scarce and lie low after what happened yesterday. This incident seems to have lit a fire under Tsuru's ass as she seems to be in a hurry to leave and catch up to Doflamingo. After commending me on my service to the marines and assuring me of a promotion or two, she leaves my room and soon the Swallow Island. A few hours after making sure Tsuru's left and my own subordinates are aware of the present situation, I slip out of my room.

While Law is not in the range of my Observation Haki, I can still sense the mark I placed on him with my fruit. I knock on the door of Law's safehouse, and after seeing me, he just starts to cry. "I was so worried you'd die".

"Well, I'm fine now, but this is no time for crying. That fight should have shown you how strong you need to get in the future, and I can help you. So tell me, Trafalgar D. Water Law, do you want to correct this wrong world? To turn it all upside down?"

Law is quiet for a few seconds before he looks straight in my and tells me "yes".

It seems I have recruited the first member of my Espada, a Yonko potential genius with an extremely powerful devil fruit. Makes me excited for the next few planned "recruitment drives" I'll hold. The plan is moving forward steadily...
