1 A New World

"All you're getting is a devil fruit with the power of Kyoka Suigetsu, modified. I like you brat, so i'll make it so the fruit won't cause you to be cursed by the sea. Don't take this to assume you can eat more than one devil fruit. Well, you can, you'll just explode afterward like everybody else. You're name is Ranvier D. Sosuke and I'll start you off on easy mode, in East Blue. The year is 1508 and you're 12. There's also a hidden item somewhere in the world that will allow you to gain a perk I think will be useful. I call it the two piece, you're welcome. Good luck, keep me entertained".

That was all I heard before I was swiftly kicked out of Hell? Heaven? Don't really know. Anyway, looking at my reflection in the pristine waters of East Blue, I realized I had black hair, green eyes and an average face.

After looking at the water for nearly a minute, I feel a jolt of pain in my head as I receive memories that aren't really mine. Before anything else, I do have to say the my predecessor was a lucky moron, at best. Screaming about being the pirate king and when the real pirates showed up, letting his entire village die by challenging the pirates to a fight while they desperately tried to protect him. Idiot didn't even try to use the tentatively named Genkaku-Genkaku no mi (Illusion fruit) that he'd already eaten. He knew he had illusion abilities since he ate the fruit two years ago, but only used the fruit to play tricks on the villagers.

As an orphan, Sosuke was left at the village chief's door 12 years ago with a card that had his full name on it. Raised by the village that loved and pampered him, he wanted to find his parents, go on an adventure around the world and become the "One Piece". Once the pirates arrived, he escaped at the cost of the lives of all the people he knew and ended up dying on the boat from grief and stress before the boat drifted to this random island. At least there was a pointer to Foosha village, of all places, on the boat. Maybe the thing that sent him here was feeling generous. Apparently his village, Mord village, sold them some goods like wine. And the pirates attacked them for the aforementioned wine. Nearly a hundred lives lost for something that cost 50 Bellies a bottle. What a wonderful world.

After boarding his boat again, Sosuke looked back at the island. It had only been 30 minutes since he'd been transmigrated. His future was undetermined but limitless. Of course, being in the One Piece universe he was extremely curious about what the One Piece itself was, but only people who had a full stomach and a shelter over their heads could even entertain the thought of going on an adventure. Currently, after finding food, his next priority was to go to Foosha and finally join the marines. Of course, joining the marines would help him increase in strength safely considering he did not have unlimited plot armor or a literal "god" fruit like Luffy. Most of all, in the short run he wanted to make a connection to Luffy during his childhood. Doing so would mean a connection to the prophesied savior and rubber Jesus known as Joy Boy as well as a loyal "friend" who was willing to lay down his life for you. Loyalty such as this was always a plus. Getting on the good side of monsters like Shanks and Garp didn't hurt either.

Time to explore the new world...
