1 First Moments

I woke up startled, I was being coddled by a strange woman I instinctively recognised as my mother, cooed at by a large man I assumed was my father and I was bundled in a pile of cloth.

From the rather strange circumstances I found myself in I could tell that I was a newborn, by looking around me and at all the people currently in the room I knew I was in a hospital. There are 6 people in the room, including me and the relatively smaller bundle of cloth to my right, a doctor writing a report on her computer, a nurse making his way towards my family with a clipboard firmly in his grip and finally my mother and father, one lying one standing exchanging loving but weary glances.

"Congratulations on twins Mrs Takahashi, we have the papers right here, what do you want to name your children?" the nurse said

"Touma for this one," She said lifting me up ever so slighty "and Hana for this one," My father said, grinning

That was all I heard before my body drifted into the great abyss of sleep.
