1 Chapter 1 (Edited)

Clark "cried" and traveled through time!

Through soul traveling, he arrived in a world that seemed not much different at first glance but was actually hundreds to thousands of times more dangerous—the Marvel Multiverse, designated as Earth-199999, within the movie universe!

Whether it's the heroic stories of Captain America in textbooks or the occasional gossip about Tony Stark in the news, they all strongly supported his deduction.

The reason he could determine the number of this universe was not because of his profound understanding of Marvel before traveling through time. The only reason for his conclusion was that after searching through all the memories left by the original owner of this body, he found not a single word about mutants.

That is to say, there were no mutants in this world!

As far as Clark knew, although there were many worlds in the Marvel Multiverse, there seemed to be only one where mutants did not exist at all or their existence was completely hidden from ordinary people.

Perhaps this was a blessing in disguise.

After all, compared to other Marvel universes, the Marvel Cinematic Universe was the one Clark was most familiar with and also considered to be the safest.

After integrating the memories from before and after his travel, Clark had basically figured out his current situation.

The current time was 1998, 10 years away from when a little mustachioed Tony Stark would announce he is Iron Man, officially kicking off the Marvel Cinematic Universe; and a full 20 years away from when a purple alien named Thanos would come to Earth, executing that universe-altering snap.

Looking at the timeline, it wasn't too urgent. Whether he chose to fight or flee when Thanos arrived, 20 years was enough time to prepare.

And the body he now occupied, had the same name as him before crossing over, Clark Li, with parents who were American citizens of Chinese descent. Having grown up in America, he could be considered a true banana (yellow on the outside, white on the inside).

A year ago, the original owner of this body's parents died in an accident. He inherited all their assets, not just cars and houses, but also a large gym that provided him with a steady income, located right across from his residential building in a prime area of Manhattan, New York!

From a background perspective, it was also quite good. Although he was not the second son of Stark Industries or OsCorp, he was still a rich second-generation, with much better economic conditions than before his travel.

The only thing that made Clark feel upset was the "persona" of "this Clark"!

The original owner of this body was a deadbeat fat nerd, weighing 120 kilograms.

Note, kilograms!

Such a true nerd actually had the courage to pursue a beauty in their class a month ago, and even more unbelievably, he succeeded! The two had dinner together on the first night, went shopping the second day, saw the sea on the third day, attended a dance on the fourth day, watched a horror movie on the fifth day, and rolled in the sheets on the sixth day. They broke up after waking up on the seventh day.

If the story had ended there, it would have been a pretty good ending.

Although they didn't end up together, he had his fun, which is pretty good, right?

But just yesterday, that beauty suddenly announced a ranking in class.

Poor Clark, the original owner of this body, was already a nerd who hardly ever left the house except for classes.

This immediately caused a sensation.

And the original owner of this body, unable to withstand the disdain, ridicule, pity, and sympathy from his classmates, ended his miserable life by touching a live electric door.

And then, Clark took over this electrified body, completing his first soul travel in life.

Is there anything more pitiful than this?

Clark felt he was even more miserable than the original owner of this body!

The original owner, despite losing his reputation, at least had his fun. But what about Clark? Not only did he get no advantage, but he also had to carry this huge burden! Why?!

Uh... well, if that guy hadn't given up on life, Clark wouldn't have traveled into his body.

But who wants to travel through time?

In his original world, although he lived a rather idle life, he was self-sufficient in terms of living. Clark felt that living his life like that was pretty good; at least he was safe and comfortable. What's there to complain about?

Compared to that, this world was much more dangerous!

In Conan, one dies per episode; in One Piece, a ship's crew per episode; in Naruto, a village per episode; in Ultraman, a city's people per episode; in Dragon Ball, a planet's people per episode...

But what's all that to Marvel? A snap that kills half the universe, ever heard of it? Looking at the desk lamp the original owner used to commit suicide in front of him, Clark felt that if he touched it again, the chance of being electrocuted would definitely be higher than successfully traveling through time again, and much higher than the chance of traveling back to his original world.

After hesitating for a moment, he silently screwed the bulb back in.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

His parents from his previous life could only be entrusted to his elder brother, younger sister, and younger brother to take care of.

Just as Clark decided to abandon the past and start a new life, the phone next to his computer suddenly rang: "Pub shrimp, my dear celebration, the top of the immortal donkey..."

Picking up the phone, he saw the caller ID.

Dave Lazarsky

This guy was Clark's classmate and best friend, close enough to share links to pirated videos and torrents.

The call connected...

"Hello!"

"Hello, Li," Dave said with a chuckle as soon as the call connected. "You know, you've become famous!"

Clark's face darkened: "If you're calling just to mock me, then our friendship is over."

"No! No! No!" Dave quickly explained, sensing Clark's displeasure: "You should check out the forum. Someone posted that ranking there, and now the whole school knows your name!"
