Class System

Here is an incomplete list of the classes that exist in the universe. In the world of Witch Tier classes play a huge role in the power dynamic of each region. Most classes have cultural originals, meaning that individuals practicing a specific profession can mostly be found, or only be found, in designated regions/continents of the world Irikihl. Those familiar with the Final Fantasy series, particularly Final Fantasy Tactics, may have an easier time understanding the classes and each of their unique individual functions.

Palyth - The "Tank" class of the Terrestrial Realm. Palyths are the "knights" of Witch Tier. They possess high raw strength and fortitude and are usually reserved for individuals with selfless spirits, making them ideal for guards. Palyth is actually the root word of Palytheum, which is the sacred book of the Massadans containing the Code, divine laws given directly from The Will. Because of this, one who is training/practicing the laws of the Code are also considered Palyths in ancient Massadan culture. This is what The Will was referring to in Chapter 1 when he was talking about, "the good Palyth".

Palyths specialize in using their Vyrkra reserves to fortify their bodies, allowing them to take more damage than other classes. They can learn useful techniques such "Ikyrure", which causes their vyrkra to draw in the attention of Fiends, keeping aggro away from their allies. When fighting more intelligent foes, they can learn the powerful "Gyn-Phalanx" ability, which cloaks their allies in a barrier that channels all damage they take to the user(fun fact the root word "Gyn" means "multi" or "many" in the Ancient Massadan language).

Blavyk Palyth - This class is similar to the Palyth, except they specialize in defending against Celestial attacks versus the Palyth's high proficiency in defending against Terrestrial attacks. Many more details will be coming soon.

Blavyk Caster - The "Black Mage" class of the world. In the ancient Massadan language the word "Blavyk" means destruction, or oblivion. These Casters excel at using Celestial Arts that deal extensive damage. As a Caster class they are pretty straight forward in that they are proficient at dealing Celestial damage, and very little else. Blavyk Casters are found in virtually every region, however they are most commonly found on the continent of Avalith. Because their destructive output is so vast, they are usually targeted first in battles. In the beginning of the story Loc changes to this class to learn powerful Celestial Arts, being that his Celestial affinity is very high.

Iynvyk Caster - The "White Mage" class of the world. In the ancient Massadan language the root word "Iyn" means life, restore, or eternity. These Casters are pretty much the polar opposite of their Blavyk counterparts in that they specialize in taking advantage of their Celestial affinity to heal others. The Iynvyk Caster is quite possibly the most difficult class to master because they require a vast understanding of both Terrestrial Arts and Celestial Arts, making them extremely rare in the world of Witch Tier. Due to their high understanding of both the fundamental properties of the Terrestrial Realm, as well as the Celestial Realm, adept Iynvyk Casters can use their vyrkra to internally fortify their defense and Celestial resistance. Iynvyk Casters can be some of the most difficult opponents to take down, especially if they have mastered abilities such as the "Juuvysis" art, which gradually restores their health rather quickly over a short period of time.

Most of the Iynvyk Casters' Vyrkra Arts consist of techniques that heal and restore. Even adept Iynvyk Casters can bring the dead back to life if the victim's body is still somewhat intact and the reaper hasn't collected a soul yet(fun fact whenever a "Train Whistle" is heard it signifies that the reaper has taken one's soul, thus they cannot be revived). While Iynvyk Casters are typically very powerful individuals all of their Vyrkra Arts require a lot of vyrkra to pull off, meaning that they can run out of steam very quickly. Most of the world's Iynvyk Casters hail from the continent of Lyrkru.

Scarlet Caster - The "Red Mage" class of the world. Scarlet Casters excel at both Terrestrial Arts and Celestial Arts. These Casters mainly hail from Avalith, hence the "Scarlet" title. They are proficient in both Blavyk and Iynvyk Arts, and are well versed in Terrestrial Arts. Jack-of-all-trades master of none is the very definition of this class. Scarlet Casters also have developed the unique ability to "Double" or "Triple" cast their Vyrkra Arts, allowing them to perform multiple castings of a particular technique at once. Before the Queen of Queens ruled the world, Avalian Iynvyk and Blavyk Casters invented this class to meet their needs for war during their many conquests. This class is the pride of Avalith, and Princess Hrist is the greatest user of the class.

Stagyk Caster - The "Green Mage" or "status ailment" class of the world. Many more details will be coming soon.

Tygyk Caster - The "Time Mage" class of the world. Many more details will be coming soon.

Aevyk Caster - The "Summoner" class of the world. Many more details will be coming soon.

Kreygyk Warrior - The "Berserker" class of the world of Witch Tier. Kreygyk Warriors are gladiators that have immense strength and fortitude and can perform incredibly devastating Terrestrial Arts. Actually, this class is the king of Terrestrial Arts, as they are capable of mastering the most powerful Terrestrial Arts. These warriors are not afraid to get their hands dirty and trade blows with their opponent. The more damage they take the more damage they can dish out, and due to being proficient with a vast array of weapons they can easily adapt to many situations. Kreygyk Warriors originally hail from Kaigon, the largest continent both in size and array of Fiends and fauna. The Kaigans invented this class to help them fend off fiends and defeat neighboring nations. While they can be quite devastating on the battlefield, Kreygyk Warriors typically lack Celestial resistance, making them prone to a swift defeat against a strong "Caster" class.

Yhol-Yin - The "Monk" class of the world. Yhol-Yin originated from the continent of Lyrkru, but many are found in the continent of Iarlec as well. Yhol-Yin specialize in close ranged martial arts combat and are masters at controlling their vyrkra. Those that are disciplined in the arts of Yhol-Yin have very high vyrkra reserves, which allows them to perform their more powerful Vyrkra Arts for an extended period of time. They can also temporarily expand their ally's vyrkra reserves and vyrkra proficiency, allowing them to perform their devastating Vyrkra Arts more often than their bodies can typically permit. Yhol-Yin primarily focus on Terrestrial Arts and will usually be the victors in a one on one match. While Kreygyk Warriors put out a lot more consistent Terrestrial damage, Yhol-Yin are capable of learning Terrestrial techniques that rival the strongest Celestial techniques in terms of power.

Ruuk - The "Thief" class of the world. Many more details will be coming soon.

Vuardra - The "Dragoon" class of the world. Many more details will be coming soon.

Zoh-Gyn - The "Samurai" class of the world. Many more details will be coming soon.

Galvux - The "Engineer" class of the world. Many more details will be coming soon.

This list will be expounded upon as time progresses so check back frequently.
