The Three of Life

In the beginning there were three.

Extreme positivity; Yang,

Extreme negativity; Yin,

Extreme neutrality; Yun.

Each made their own body, Yang making his of light, Yin made hers of darkness, while Yun made hers of both.

But light cannot exist without darkness and darkness cannot exist without light. Yin sucked the life essence of Yang to survive; which in turn made her dependent on his life essence.

Yang, however, decided to forego his body, seeing that it was hard to sustain.

He scattered his own being; becoming the building blocks of the universe.

Yin, left without means of survival, had no choice but to sustain herself on Yun's body, but in turn, she was corrupted. Becoming more and more mixed with the light and closer and closer to neutrality. By the time she noticed; she had become dependent on both light and darkness. But both being opposites of unequal distribution in her body left her volatile. She died because it was too hard to sustain her being, her remains spawned the first creatures; beasts.

The less volatile beasts became more proficient in the laws of yang since the remaining intent of yang took pity on their powerlessness. The more volatile ones became more proficient in the laws of yin. Sustaining themselves on the lives of other beasts and the intent of yin within those beasts.

predator and prey became equal and sought the power to survive.

But Yun remained, kept in perfect balance, she had foreseen what would happen to both Yin and Yang. But she did not interfere, staying alive and remaining neutral, as well as keeping the balance of light and dark. Yun became the first witch; the origin of all intelligent life.

Because of the perfect balance present in her body, she could reproduce asexually. Though her two children were imbalanced; she still loved them and gave them a name each.

Vamiria and Elviria.

Vamiria had an imbalance of too much yang; so he ate and reproduced with creatures of yin to survive. Becoming the foundation of the vampire races.

Elviria had an imbalance of too much yin, so she sought the ways of the yang creatures, and learned to eat from the origin of yang. Eventually reproducing with the beasts of yang, she became the foundation of the elven races.

But Yun had learned from her mistakes; so she pooled all her effort, birthing a balanced being. A being that resulted in her own death. But before she died, she gave it a name as well;

Wichiria, the second witch and the foundation of the witch races. Once she died, the remains scattered but remained balanced, some remains were absorbed by and changed different beasts, some became selfsufficient and attained intelligence while some remains gathered together to form the first mortal humans.

This is the story of the three origin races, from which all intelligent life came. As for Yin and Yang; Yang became the world and nature. Yin became the animals and the emptiness in the world. Balancing creation with destruction according to the efforts of Yun. She would grey the lines between yin and yang to make the world reach a perverse perfect balance: entropy. Yun's remains became the Laws of the world; limiting everything by effort of a single law.

Energy can neither be created nor destroyed.

Vamiria created 9 realms which would later be known as the nine hells of the vampire realm.

Elviria created 9 realms as well, which would later be known as the nine heavens of the elven realm.

Wichiria created only one realm but poured all her effort into it. The nine hells and nine heavens came to revolve around this one realm, and it was known as the realm of balance.

The elves fed and relied upon nature to become stronger; the vampires fed and relied on living beings to survive, and the humans relied on both. While their bodies were perfectly balanced like yun and the witches, there was almost no potential for growth due to their inherent defective physique that naturally and unsupervised came to be.

This made the humans very weak, but due to their natural heritage they had a very easy time reproducing, thus their numbers and weakness became both their fatal flaw and their strongest strength; because they could not improve physically, they resolutely improved mentally so while all the races had intelligence, humans were known to be one of the most cunning and distrustful beings in the plane, only being beat by some vampire races specially suited to scheming.
