Rebirth

"Astaroth? T-The Demon King!?" Verona exclaims weakly.

"At least you know. My name isn't the subject though, I'm here to offer well it's not really an offer it's more like I'm forcing you to become my experiment." Astaroth said floating all of the melted living mass into a sphere.

"E-Experiment? I don't even care anymore, as long as I'll be able to get my revenge." Verona said accepting her fate.

"Wow! I thought I was going to have to put a slave seal on you. Since you accepted so willingly, I'll even give you an extra perk per se." Astaroth said surrounding the cave and sphere with demonic mana.

"I will warn you though, this will hurt...A lot." Astaroth said as he made the melted mass into different types of organs.

Astaroth first formed a heart, looming over Verona he ripped out her heart and replaced it with the demon heart. Verona's screams of pain were not very loud surprisingly. He then made Demonic Mana Veins and ripped out Verona Human Mana Veins and replaced them with the demonic ones. He then ripped out her human blood vessels and replaced them with demonic blood vessels. The melted sphere of living mass began to dwindle in size. For the final act, he made a demonic soul and pushed it into her chest, once the demonic soul took the place of the human one. He ate the human soul.

"I'm surprised you didn't scream too much, the full transformation will happen after I heal you as the demonic heart, soul, and blood vessels will change your very being." Astaroth said healing the blood-covered Verona.

Verona now fully healed, began to scream as if she was in indescribable pain. Her long blonde hair turned deep purple, her once blue eyes turned crimson red, her rounded ears grew pointy, her canine teeth sharpened greatly, growing from the temple of her head two black horns grew, a huge pair of wings sprouted from her back, her normal nails blackened and grew sharp, a red gem grew in the middle of her forehead and her fair skin turned a light purple.

"Haaa....Haaaa....Haaaa" Verona panted from the pain she just felt.

"So am I a demon now?" Verona said looking up to Astaroth.

"Yes but turning you into a demon wasn't the experiment, that gem on your head allows you to evolve and use a lost ancient magic." Astaroth said.

"Evolve? What do you mean? How can I evolve any further than this?" Verona asked.

"Hais, just like how humans, elves, dwarves, and beastkin have gods, so do we. Our goddess was named Li'rith'ka, she created the netherworld and us demons by using her blood. The first demons were able to evolve, by consuming other living things. This made them extremely strong and feared throughout Viralis. So the other gods plotted against our goddess, they killed her and sealed away her blood. The first demons, not having a creator God to support them, began to fall in disarray. That was until the first Demon King Satan, rounded them together under his rule. The demons thrived but slowly lost the ability to evolve. Now we 'modern' demons can evolve, but only certain useless traits such as hair, horn size, or eye color." Astaroth explained.

"So what does this have to do with me evolving?" Verona said with a tinge of annoyance in her tone.

"That gem on your head, is a crystallized blood drop from the First Demon King." Astaroth said as if it was obvious.

"Oh, well then what's this ancient magic you speak of?" Verona said without reaction to the news.

"Wait, I just told you that you have Satans blood crystal in your head and you don't react?!" Astaroth said out of character.

"How do you want me to react? I wasn't raised on demonic culture, so having Satans blood crystal isn't much of a 'wow' to me." Verona said flatly.

"Hais, whatever. Anyways, the ancient magic I told you about is also the magic of Satan. Calamity magic." Astaroth said annoyed at Verona's lack of reaction.

"Calamity magic? Is this like the First Human King's Divine magic?" Verona asked.

"Well, if the first human king could wipe out an entire army with a single spell. Then yeah, I guess you can say it is." Astaroth said.

"Oh. OH!!" Verona exclaimed.

"That's what makes you react!?" Astaroth said once again out of character.

"Well yeah, I could get my revenge much faster than before." Verona said with a smile that didn't reach her eyes.

"If that's all then I'm leaving." Astaroth said having enough of the demon girl.

"Oh, well bye." Verona said as she began to leave the cave.

Now outside of the cave, Verona felt the sun's rays and sighed in relief. She felt a grumble in her stomach, and found the horses stationary.

"Well, I just found lunch." Verona said as she used her new claws to dismember a horse.

She ripped out its internal organs and began feasting on them, she ate the heart first then moved down to the liver, the stomach, both intestines, the ribs, the legs, and finally the head.

"Wow! I was so hungry I ate an entire horse." Verona said covered in blood.

The red gem in Veronas forehead glowed slightly before dimming.

"Now to test this new magic!" Verona said as the red mana formed in her hands.

She pointed her hands at another horse and the horse combusted immediately.

"Did I just make a horse explode?" Verona said slightly shocked.

"This will do great on humans." Verona said in anticipation.

"Let's see what this forest has to offer."
