122 Ender

"Stop pacing, Lucian. You're driving me mad." Ender's voice was quiet, but he hoped Lucian did not miss the authority behind his words.

"Aniyoh should be in position and Silas back by now. Something is amiss," Lucian snapped.

Ender knew his brother was right. Silas was to lead Aniyoh to the guard witches and return to the predetermined meeting place where then they would all venture to free Caroline. Aniyoh, having first unlocked the door, would create a distraction creating the opening they needed. 

The plan was loose, and Ender had anticipated difficulties along the way. It was not his best strategizing, he knew, but time was of the essence, and in truth, they were relying on both his and Lucian's vampire abilities to carry most of the weight. Aniyoh had heart, but her magical powers were not as advanced as most.
