81 Caroline

Caroline fiddled with the sleeve of her dress as she approached the gates of Ravin-Sha. Whisper, her mare, cantered in place as they paused in line, waiting for admittance. Crowds of people jostled to enter the sprawling metropolis, even though the hour was still early.

Their journey finally culminated at this point, and Caroline couldn't help the feelings of apprehension growing within her. Even lost in the multitude of humanity, she still felt like her, as well as Ender, Lucian, and Aniyoh, all stuck out like a sore thumb. Those close enough to notice the sprawling tattoo peeking out of her dress sleeve eyed her warily. Their watchful gazes were disconcerting. Thankfully Lucian and Ender were so tall and formidable, most gave the group a wide berth.
