70 Aniyoh

Aniyoh knew Agremonth Keep was ancient when she first stepped foot in the castle after exiting the stitch. After spending the night in her luxurious, yet antiquated accommodations, it was even more apparent. From paintings peeling at the corners to finely woven rugs, the furnishings and decorations appeared as if they belonged in a museum, not someone's home.

Nothing she had seen, though, had prepared her for the archaic vampire who stood before her. Astrophel's skin was so pale it looked nearly translucent in the light of the fireplace roaring behind him as he stood at the edge of the table. His long delicate fingers lingered on the surface as his cold red eyes, tinged with grey at the edges she noticed, surveyed them carefully. Hair as white as untouched snow hung almost to his waist in a long thin sheet. A simple silver diadem draped across his forehead.
