50 Aniyoh

Aniyoh peered at the party as they sat silently around a tiny campfire, it's light only barely illuminating the faces of her friends. It was a somber gathering; each one of them seemed to lost in their thoughts, ruminating under the stars in the warm night air.

She was still processing her feelings of guilt surrounding the situation earlier that day. In a moment when she could have used her powers with great force, she hadn't done much beyond stare and scream. She had frozen. Aniyoh blamed the years of servitude under Walter Borund for making her slow to react. Teaching others to use magic was one thing, but responding appropriately in a high-pressure situation was another entirely.

Still, the witch knew she should have done more to protect her friends, especially Ender. Who knew what fate lay before him at the hands of the mysterious witch accompanying Grier.
