10 Chapter Ten ~ The Choices You’ll Have To Make

*In Mona's Room*

"Let me help you."

That phrase is floating in Mona's head.

"Would you let me take care of you?"

Mona pulls the blanket over her head. "I don't know what to do. Ken, I really miss you! I wish you're here right now so i don't have this problem." Mona cries under the blanket. "What is going on? I can't answer either one of them. "

Hours have gone by and Mona is finally getting out of bed. She heard some argument coming from downstairs where the office is. Mona got curious to see what was happening. She slowly gets out of bed and slips into her slippers.

"What's happening?" Mona wonders. She opens the door and walks outside. The noise got louder and louder. Mona stop right outside the office when she heard her name. She pierced her eyes against the door to see if she can hear what the conversation was about. Then she heard Hee Joon's voice and seconds later his dad spoke. "You need to obey my decisions. When you asked me for a favor, I told you that you will have to take over the business and obey my rules. So when i say you are getting engaged, you will be getting engaged!" Mona was so shocked she couldnt believe what she had just heard. She covers her mouth with both hands. " I said i will take over the business. But I never said you can control my love life." Then suddenly there was a loud slam onto the desk. "No! If you don't obey, Mona can leave right now! You said you will do anything if i was to let her stay." Hee Joon shouts back. " If Mona leaves, I leave too!" Mona quickly turns around to leave the area before anyone finds out she was outside this whole time. While Mona was turning around ready to leave, she accidentally knocks something over. A loud voice shouted from inside. "Who is it?" Mona hurried and ran off before anyone can see her.

*Mona's room*

Mona paces back and forth, not knowing what she should do. She then thinks to herself "if I leave, would Hee Joon get his freedom back?" Minutes later, Mona have decided she should pack up her things and go. Mona walks over to her desk and started to write;

Mona folds up the letter and wrote: To Hee Joon

She places the letter on top of the desk, and then grabbed onto her luggage. She took one last look around the room and turned to head out. Mona walked out softly, not letting anyone know about her leaving. Not even a single maid noticed her gone.

Mona strolling down the streets with nowhere to go, pulling her luggage alongside her.

"What should I do now?" She takes out her phone, tempted to dial the phone for help. "I don't even have anyone to call." Mona puts away her phone and continues to stroll in the streets.

*knocking on the door*

"Mona? Are you in there?" Hee Joon knocks again. Then he puts his hand on the knob. "Mona?" Hee Joon twist the knob. The door opens. There was no sight of Mona anywhere. Hee Joon walks around the room trying to see if Mona was in the bathroom where she wasn't able to hear him. No one is around. Then Hee Joon spots a piece of paper laying on the desk. "What's this?" Hee Joon wonders. He then noticed it was addressed to him. :To Hee Joon

Hee Joon opens the letter and read what was inside. "No.. where did she go?" Hee Joon crumbles the letter and tossed it in the trash can. Hee Joon quickly ran out to look for Mona.

Meanwhile, Mona stopped at a bus stop and decided to take a rest and think about where she should go. Suddenly she spotted a bright light coming towards her.

*honking*

The car started honking while coming towards Mona. Mona opened her eyes wide trying to see who is behind those wheels. Then the car stops right in front. The windows start to roll down. Mona looked inside, it was Ivan. "What is he doing here?" Mona wonders to herself. "Where are you heading to?" Ivan curiously asked. " N..no where." Mona stutters. Ivan gets out of the car and offered his hand to Mona and guided her into the passenger seat and buckled her in. Then he walks back over to the bus stop and grabbed Mona's luggage, opened his trunk and placed the luggage inside. Ivan gets in the car with Mona starring at him blankly. "Where are we going?" Ivan smiles without looking over to Mona, and says " don't worry. I will take care of you."
