19 Chapter Nineteen ~ Enter… Ji Yoon

It is around 4 pm and Jae is getting off school. Mona and Jae walk to the bus stop to wait for the bus since the assistant was not able to pick them up.

"Are you going to help me if my mom wants to take me back to America?" Mona looks at Jae, "How do you want me to help you?" Jae shakes his head. "I don't know. Just promise me that you won't let her take me back. Please. "

Mona tries very hard to spare his feelings. "What do I say? I have no control over that..."

"I can't really promise you anything because I don't think I have the right to stop your mom from taking you away. But I know I can help you convince your dad to not let her take you. That is all I can do. I really wish I can do more." Mona looks down and reach over to pat Jae's hand that is resting on his lap.

"C'mon, the bus is here. Let's go!" Mona grabs onto Jae's hand and they both hopped onto the bus.

After the bus ride, both Mona and Jae walked slowly towards the house door.

"What's wrong?" Mona turns around to see that Jae is slowly dragging his feet to the door.

"Why don't we go and rest in the room. I'll let you know when your parents come home." She walks him to his room. After she leaves Jae's room she heads over to her own room.

"Jae... Jae... where are you?" a women's voice loudly filled the house. Mona rushes out to see what is going on. She sees a really well-dressed lady standing in the middle of the living room. She turns around and sees Mona. "Get me a glass of water." She demands. Mona quickly runs down the stairs and into the kitchen to grab some water for the lady. While Mona was heading back with a glass cup of water, Ivan walks in front of the lady. He grabs the water from Mona. "Here, she is Jae's nanny, not your maid." He hands her the water.

"It's ok." Mona bows. Ivan grabs onto Mona's hand and walks her upstairs to her room. He tells her, "Stay here." and slams her door before walking outside of the hallway.

"She is just a nanny, why are you so protective of her?" Ji-Yoon yells while waiting for Ivan to descend from the stairs.

"Mind your own business. You can't barge into my house like that. I told you I will bring him to your hotel when he agrees."

"Well, what if he doesn't agree?" She walks around the house to look around to find Jae.

"Well if he doesn't then he doesn't. I'm not gonna force him."

Ji-Yoon rolls her eyes and walks upstairs. Ivan follows behind her. She pushes the doors open to see if Jae was in any of the rooms she opened.

During the whole commotion, Jae had decided to hide from his mother. He ran into Mona's room while she was downstairs attending to his mother. He hid inside her closet and kept quiet. Mona opens her room door slightly to peek outside the hallway to see what Ji-Yoon was doing. She pushes Jae's bedroom door open and walks inside looking for him.

"Jae!! Get out here! I know you're here because I see your school bag. Stop hiding!"

"Hm... where did Jae go?" Mona wonders to herself.

Ji-Yoon steps out of Jae's room to see Mona peeking out from her door. She makes her way towards Mona's room and barges in. "Where is he? Where is my son?" Mona nervously replies, "I don't know ma'am. When we got home, I walked him into his bedroom. He was going to rest until you two come back."

Ji-Yoon ignores her. She walks around her room looking for any trace of Jae. Ivan rushes into Mona's room and grabs onto Ji-Yoon's hand and drags her out of the room.

Out in the hallway, he stops to confront her, "You need to stop. You have no right to go into someone else's room like that!"

Mona runs over to her door to watch the confrontation.

"This is my house and this is my Nanny's room! You have no permission!"

Ji-Yoon opens up her eyes wider, "What are you saying? You never ordered me around like this... And..." She looks at Mona and Ivan and noticed how awkwardly quiet they both were towards each other. "There's something going on between you two, isn't there?" Ji-Yoon forces her hand off of Ivan's grip. Ji-Yoon looks at Ivan's troubled reaction towards her statement.

"There is! I knew it!" Ji-Yoon walks over to Mona and glances at her from head to toe. "You went far below your league for this one..." She spitefully commented.

"Far below?!" Mona thought to herself.

"There is nothing between us. Even if there was, its none of your business!" He looks over at Mona, "Get back inside. Don't come out until I say so."

Mona takes a step back into the room, "B-But--" Ivan closes the door to her room.

"Hey!" Jae whispers. Mona looks around and sees Jae peeking out of her closet. He raises his finger up against his lips to tell Mona to be quiet. "Sshh.."

"Hey, what are you doing in my room? Your mom is looking all over for you."

"I don't care! I don't want her to know that I am here. You promised that you will help me. All you have to do is to keep quiet."

Mona shakes her head in frustration and walks over to her bed. She rests herself on the bed and slowly closes her eyes. "I don't care, I am so tired. I just want to close my eyes and not have to worry about anything." Mona thinks to herself, "What a rude Lady. I'm below Ivan's league?"

Suddenly she hears the front door slammed and she jumps up from her bed. She looks over to the closet where Jae was. There was no movement. She walks over to see what he is doing and found him sound asleep in her comfy clothes. She walks out of her room to see if Jae's mom is still around. Ji-Yoon is nowhere to be seen. Ivan slowly walks up behind her.

"I am so sorry about that. She is gone. I didn't know she would act this way. Do you know where Jae is hiding?" Mona nods her head.

"Yeah, follow me." Both Mona and Ivan walked into Mona's room. She points over to her closet. He walks over and sees Jae sleeping inside. He picks him up and brings him into Jae's bedroom. Mona follows behind them. While Ivan was putting Jae down, Jae reached out his hands and grabbed onto Mona's hand.

"Don't leave!" Mona looked at Ivan and Ivan smiled. "Can you stay here with him?" He whispers. Mona nods her head. Jae reaches out his other hand and grabs onto Ivan's hand. "Please don't leave." Ivan and Mona looked at each other and paused. Looking into each other's eyes, they both calmed down and felt a sense of peaceful blissfulness. They are both stuck; connected in the same bed with Jae. As if they were their own little family.
