5 Chapter Five ~ Moving to Korea

Another week have passed, the trip will end in about a month. Mona have grown to love Korea more and more. She has many things to worry about and needs to make sure she can get a job and find a place to live. As for Hee Joon, he have already been thinking about moving back and was wondering how he can ask Mona to stay with him. "Hey, I have something to talk to you about. It is very important and I want you to be able to sit down and listen to what I need to say." Hee Joon walks over to where Mona is. "I have something to talk to you about too." Mona and Hee Joon looked at each other. "Ladies first" Hee Joon offers Mona to speak first. "I wasn't sure how to tell you or don't even know where to start." Hee Joon grabs a chair. "Just tell me. I'm ready." Mona reaches out and grabs on to Hee Joon's hand. "You need to calm down and let me finish ok?" Hee Joon looks at Mona with a worried expression. "what is it?" Mona clears her throat and pushes the chair out and stands up in a ready to run away position. " I.. I'm thinking of staying in Korea!" Mona runs to the bed and hides under the blanket. Hee Joon walks over and pulls the blacket off Mona. " Now, is it my turn?" Mona looked up at Hee Joon and sits up. "Ok, you can tell me what you want to say now." Hee Joon sits on the bed next to Mona. " I been thinking about staying and was stressing my head off trying to figure out how I can convince you to stay here with me! Now you just made it so much easier for me." Mona and Hee Joon both looked at each other and started laughing.

" Do you think I have made a good decision? I mean, I don't even know Korean. And where will I live? Also, it's going to be hard to find a job since I can barely communicate with them." Hee Joon walks over to Mona. " Look, you don't have to worry. I'll convince my parents to let you stay with us until you find a good place to live in." Mona jumps with joy, she ran to her luggage and starts packing. " What are you doing" Hee Joon ask with a crazy stare on his face. "I'm packing! What you think I was doing?" Hee Joon walks over to where Mona is. "You know we still have a week in this hotel right?" Mona pauses. "Uh... Oh yea.." Mona stops packing and stood up from where she was. "Ok, now let me go look for a job." Mona puts on a jacket and walks toward the door. "I'll be back soon." Mona puts on her shoes and walks out.

       After a whole day of job searching, Mona decides to go to a nearby Internet cafe. Hoping she can use their computers to search for any job openings while she rest for a little. "Excuse me" Mona waves her hand for the barista. " Can I get a latte please?" The barista nods her head. Mona gets on the computer and start typing and searching to see what she can apply for that she can use English instead of Korean. The latte arrives and Mona picks up the cup to take a sip. An ad pops up on the screen, ~Please apply online~

"Ouch!" Mona puts the cup down. The latte was too hot and burned Mona on the lips. "Maybe I should try to apply." Mona thinks to herself. "No...no not doing it."

"I'm back!" Mona was expecting Hee Joon to be screaming and wondering how the job search went. But it was the opposite. No one said a word and Hee Joon was no where to be found. "Hm.. I wonder where he's at?" Mona thinks to herself. "Oh well." Mona walks in the bathroom and turns on the water to get ready for a relaxing bath. "Mona! Are you back yet?" Mona nervously tries to hide herself in the water filled with bubbles knowing she forgot to lock the door thinking Hee Joon might come in. "I'm in the bathroom! I'll be right out!" Mona shouts. Mona gets up from the tub and the knob starts to turn. "No! Stop! Don't open the door!" The door swings open and Mona quickly turns around. Hee Joon paused with shock on his face. "What are you doing? I told you not to open the door! Get out!" Hee Joon quickly closes the door. "Uh.. I..I'm sorry. Um.. can you come with me to my parents place when you get dressed?" Hee Joon clears his throat. "Just hold on! I'll be right out." Mona quickly gets dressed. Mona opens the door. Looks at Hee Joon and gave him a glare. "You need to erased your memories. What just happened never happened. Got it?" Hee Joon nods his head.

The two arrives at this big house, it has two levels. "This place is nice! Why didn't you tell me your parents have a huge house here? And all this time when we were in the states I always thought your the same like me. You never talked much about your parents." Hee Joon ignored every question Mona had asked. Then he starts to speak while opening the door. " I'm sorry I never told you about my parents. I never really spent much time with them. When I was little, they had sent me to America to study. My dad always wanted me to take over his business and I never wanted to because I wanted to do my own thing." Mona looks at Hee Joon surprised and shocked. She stopped asking questions.

A man comes out to greet Hee Joon and Mona . "This is my dad." Hee Joon introduces the man to Mona. "Hi, my name is Mona." Mona reaches her hand out to shake hands with Hee Joon's dad. "Hi, you can call me Mr. Lee and this is Mrs. Lee." A women steps out behind him. Mona bows politely. "Nice to meet you." Mona follows them into the house. "Here, have a seat." Mrs. Lee guides Mona over to the couch. "Mom, dad, this is Mona. She will be staying with us until she finds a place to live." Hee Joon's dad gets up from his chair. "Can I see you in my office?" Hee Joon follows behind. "You can help yourself. Watch some TV. I need to go finish up my work." Mrs. Lee walks away. Thirty minutes have passed and Hee Joon is still not out. "What are they doing" Mona thinks to herself. " Ok, we are good." Hee Joon finally finishes and walks out of the office. "Lets go. We will be moving in next Monday."
