Wishful Thinking

(Trigger/content warning: novel contains instances of abusive relationships, suicidal thoughts, and sexual content) Ps. This is my first time writing for anyone. I thought it would be easier to write from real experiences first, so I’ve used events from my life to inspire the scenes in this novel. Some things have been changed for dramatic effect. This novel is kind of my way of changing what happened in some small way and being grateful for the wonderful things that came out of it. She was active with her friends and family and loved with every cell in her body. She only wished to make one man happy....but it never seemed enough. Joseph was a few years older than Adaline. An art major. He was funny....but had a volatile character. He didn’t know why, but his girlfriend always made him mad. Adaline was never enough. Adaline felt she was living in a nightmare with him, but she loved him, what could she do? One fateful event will change everything for these two, making Adaline make a heart-wrenching decision. But is this what is best for her? Follow Adaline as she navigates through her life, the hardships, and the highs. Can she escape the nightmare?
